Full headline: Are America and the West headed toward collapse? New study finds startling similarities to fall of past civilizations
Predictions of America’s doom and gloom ahead are nothing new, as it’s always easier for us to see the glass as half-empty rather than half-full. So it’s not surprising that a new study has made a similar ‘prediction.’
But unlike many past analyses, a new look at an old study by historian Arnold Toynbee in his 12-volume magnum opus “A Study of History” examined his findings and identified key elements within each past great civilization that explained why they collapsed.
In short, past great civilizations like the Roman Empire didn’t “die” so much as they ‘committed suicide, the BBC reports.
Toynbee “was right in some respects: Civilizations are often responsible for their own decline. However, their self-destruction is usually assisted,” wrote the BBC‘s Luke Kemp.

Of course it is collapsing. The thing that puzzles a lot of analysts is how they’ve been able to kick the can down the road so much farther than many thought possible.
FWIW, I believe either trump will be the last president of the US or it will utterly collapse under the one that follows him.
I don’t know what would happen if, after four (or eight) years of trump we would every allow it to go back to the deep state without a total hot revolution. I’m just not seeing it.

Most organizations that legitimately get off the ground suffer from an arc, by providing a product or service to market that competitively satisfies a demand, and after a time of success and bloat, seek to maximize profits against newer competitors by lowering costs, and eventually fail to advance, adapt, and innovate to their own decline. That is because as they grow, the sum totality of any organizations purpose is for each individual to justify their own purposes and not necessarily those of the organization, although you would they they are mutual.
Developed civilizations usually suffer from those in charge and those in the ever increasing bureaucracy justifying their own existences much more than focusing on the success (and even survival) of their society.
Once enough of us pass away younger people will embrace it in exchange for socialist goodies.

The more tolerance today the less morals we have...there is no law, no real accountability, so it’s lawlessness. There is a relationship between the two, no standard and anything goes..... In Israel’s apostasy at the end of the Book of judges reads just as our society today, “everyone did what was right in their own eyes.”
When you consider Mal. 2:16.... “For the LORD God of Israel says that He hates divorce, for it covers one’s garment ‘with violence’,”..... This has attributed to our societies breakdown, no commitment, no love.
Honestly, The Roman Empire replaced their labor and their military with foreigners. Nowadays it could happen way faster with all the faster and comparatively less expensive travel in today’s world.
In fact, to be blunt, the US today reminds me of Dr Zhivago, but without the love triangle.
The late Dr. Francis Schaeffer’s “How Should We Then Live?” clearly chronicled our demise. And that book was published in 1976.
