President Trump on Friday signed a spending package to avert another government shutdown, his top spokesman said.
White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders told reporters Trump approved the measure on Friday afternoon in the executive mansion. Reporters were not on hand to witness the bill signing.
The move came hours after Trump announced during a freewheeling, 50-minute news conference that he is declaring a national emergency to bypass Congress and obtain $8 billion for his long-desired border wall, a move that triggered a major legal showdown with Democrats.

Yes there are some trolls suddenly posting anti-Trump diatribes, but I’m equally alarmed by the rush of some FReepers to condemn solid Trump supporters who have raised significant concerns about both the sell-out Dem-GOPrat legislation, and the strategy that brought us to this situation. I don’t doubt President Trump’s sincere desire to protect America, but he got rolled by McConnell. He’s been getting bad advice and no support from the open borders traitors. Unless he makes it clear that he will not obey any court order that attempts to limit his Constitutional authority to build the wall pursuant to this National Emergency, this his declaration is meaningless. The courts will attempt to stop him. He can’t afford another back-down, or he will have effectively surrendered to the Deep State. If even 3% of the President’s 2016 voters are turned off by these events his re-election is doomed. At some point he needs to go all-in against Congress.
Out of 438 people in Congress, you and I had about 154 people on our side.
I don’t think there’s much you can do with those odds.
President Trump is one man fighting an impossible situation. Who we should be angry with is our so-called “representatives” in both the House and Senate. NOT ONE of our politicans represent us. Not one of them gives a rat’s derriere about Americans especially white Americans.

The bill makes it easier for adult and juvenile illegal aliens to enter the US. That is not a “slam” against the President, but rather a comment on what is in what he signed.
I don’t know what’s going on. Considering how bad, dangerous, and lawless our corrupt stasi state is, I wouldn’t be surprised if PDJT is under the gun.

Don't be surprised if it comes out later that the POTUS choices were
- sign the bill and declare a National Emergency with the support of the GOPSo he took the money and ran.- veto the bill and watch Congress override his veto along with refusing to support the National Emergency declaration.

One thing that I am not sure of is how quickly the poison pill pieces go into effect. IF there is a phase-in period, then we could dodge a bullet in that they do not take full effect until the next election cycle (or shortly therefater).

Yes. The upside is that we have a great president. The first one since 1980. A president that has done wonderful things for our country and has stemmed the tide of globalism.

I hear ya...I am sick to death of our government, it is corrupt and filthy to its core.
I wonder how much longer we can ignore this and pretend that we live in a free country for the people by the people?
