"Empire" actor Jussie Smollett told Chicago police that his attackers seemed to know who he was before they beat him and tied a rope around his neck.
The detail about the Jan. 29 attack was contained in a police report recently released following a Freedom of Information request by media outlets.
The document notes that Smollett reported two men dressed in black and wearing black masks got his attention by mentioning the name of the TV show.
The actor says the men then shouted racial and homophobic slurs and poured an unknown substance on him. Smollett is black and openly gay.
The report says Smollett initially didn't want to report attack, but another person convinced him to do so.
No arrests have been made. Police say they continue to collect and review surveillance video.
Once the authorities expose and catch him in his lie he’ll accuse them of homophobia and racism!
No doubt, and so will the Hollyweird thugs he hangs out with.............
Personally, I think it was a planned hookup that went bad for him, and it’s the details of it he doesn’t want to be truthful about!
The video that they already had shows him BEFORE and AFTER the alleged ‘attack’ with only a 60 second lapse of view.
In both, he is shown holding his cellphone and his Subway sandwich.
So the ‘attack’ lasted less than 60 seconds and he never changed his walking speed.....................
Maybe they didn’t like his acting.
“I’ve seen more emotion from a fence post!”
Probably mean Chicago television reviewers.
He was cruising or he was trying to score drugs.
It finished badly.
He’s an actor whose daily bread & butter is acting —even believing HIMSELF— that he’s another person, that things that never happened DID, in fact, happen.
So he took a sow’s ear and sewed it into a liberal purse, conjuring up this MAGA-hat victim fantasy.
Every red neck I know tunes into "Empire," it's their favorite show.

No one is mentioning how much Smollett has to gain from a “hate crime” hoax.
No one is mentioning that there have been hundreds of “hate crime” hoaxes.
No, it was a planned hoax, in support of his ‘friend’ Kamala Harris....................

If the alleged attackers recognized him from that show, there’s no way they are anything but other blacks, because white lefties only get violent in groups of a hundred or more.
It won’t matter because the Windy City is controlled by RATs and I’m sure the Chicago PD will “fix” this mess!
When people would ask him, 'how did you cut your eye', he didn't want to tell them the embarrassing truth.
So he went to his apartment and concocted a plan.
He thought he could become a national celebrity and a gay/black civil rights hero by saying he was a victim of an alleged hate crime.
He thought adding 'they shouted 'This Is MAGA Country'' would be the icing on the cake because everyone in his circle of friends hates Trump.
A Legend in his own mind.
Another great theory.
I might lean towards yours.
On the one hand, whites are bad because we think “they all look alike”.
On the other hand, redneck Trump supporters in Chicago (are there any?) can walk down the street at 2AM, in bone-chilling weather, and instantly identify obscure African American actors from obscure TV shows. And, of course, redneck Trump supporters always carry nooses and chemicals just in case they do run into an obscure TV actor.
It’s the #1 show in Bug Tussle, Oklahoma.
Here’s what happened, he made up a story to impress his friends. They believed him but insist that he report it, he gets caught between reporting it or admit he lied to them. So he reports it.
Interesting... “BWC incident until victim requested BWC be deactivated.”
“BWC” means “body worn cameras”, so Smollett didn’t want to talk to the police until they had turned their cameras off...
