He apologized for the picture appearing on his page, calling the image "offensive" and "racist," but said that he had nothing to do with the preparation of the yearbook, nor did he buy it.
He said that while he did not attend that party where the picture was taken, he did attend another party the same year in which he said he "darkened my face as part of a Michael Jackson costume."
He also said that he did not expect Virginians to believe him immediately or to forgive his actions right away: "I am just asking for that ability to demonstrate that the person I was is not the man I am today.

In fact at the time, Jackson was bleaching his skin white. LOL
LOL!
I had to purchase my yearbook back in the day.
I never did.
Oh boy, ARTHEL happens to be on air when this occurs. She can barely contain her rage. “He tried to explaaaaain away. OK! None of that made sense.”
What a press conference.
Ended up admitting that he also used blackface in a Michael Jackson costume!
The guy is not only a racist baby killer, he’s an absolute idiot.
lolol
Arthel is right. The man left me with more questions about him than he answered.
He’s gotta go!
It strains believeability that he never saw his yearbook until yesterday.
Why did he apologize yesterday but now says this picture isn’t him? What the heck? What was he apologizing for if he apologized before he ever saw the yearbook?
LMAFO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And I vos head of Gestapo for ten years. (Hilter elbows him in the ribs) Ah! Five years! (Hilter elbows him again, harder) Nein! No! Oh. Was NOT head of Gestapo AT ALL! I was not, I make joke! (laughs)
Maybe he was in the Klan costume.
Where were the questions from the media about Northem calling Ed Gillespie a racist.
Im sure this has been mentioned, but the person in the hat is almost certainly a woman.
I think he got a call from Bill Clinton who told him that he was going about this all wrong.
I back Northam. He ain’t no racist, he’s a blackface baby killer.(and a Democrap)
No mention of resuscitating a baby. That word bothers me. If they delivered a live baby and wanted to discuss it, what did they do to it that it would need to be resuscitated?
I do not think he can get away with saying that he is not in the picture. He is a person who DID paint his face black on another occasion about the same time. When he was 25 years of age.
He said he never purchased the yearbook so it was a complete shock to see the picture after all these years. His friends would have seen it and told him about it before yesterday, right?
The other shocking thing is that this guy is a Baptist and he says he is close to his pastor, who was in the room. I didnt know before today that Baptists approve of infantacide.
He said he knows who made the picture public and that there was an agenda. The media didnt follow up on that.
LMAO, this just keeps getting more and more hilarious!!!
Hey, Northam watched President Billy Jeff Rapist refuse to resign in spite of his exploding multiple scandals and impeachment; Northam probably thinks he can hunker down, lie and deny, and survive the way Billy Jeff did.
From USA Today: Megyn Kelly apologizes for blackface comments on 'Today,' gets ripped by Don Lemon:
[snip]During a round-table discussion on Tuesday's segment, Kelly seemingly defended "blackface" and "white face" for the October holiday because it was "OK when I was a kid as long as you were dressing like a character. She even backed "The Real Housewives of New York" star Luann de Lesseps, who was accused of darkening her skin while dressing up as Diana Ross.

She even backed "The Real Housewives of New York" star Luann de Lesseps, who was accused of darkening her skin while dressing up as Diana Ross.

Earlier in the day during a panel discussion, Kelly questioned blackface when it comes to Halloween costumes choices."Because you do get in trouble if you are a white person who puts on blackface on Halloween, or a black person that puts on whiteface for Halloween," she said. "And back when I was a kid, that was OK, as long as you were dressing up as, like, a character."
Kelly then mused about a recent blackface controversy to expand on her stance.
"There was a controversy on 'The Real Housewives of New York' with Luann (de Lesseps). She dressed as Diana Ross, and she made her skin look darker than it really is. And people said that that was racist. And I dont know!" she explained. "I thought like, who doesnt love Diana Ross? She wants to look like Diana Ross for one day, and I dont know how that got racist on Halloween."

CNN anchor Don Lemon also found the comments unacceptable. Speaking with his network colleague Chris Cuomo Tuesday, the "CNN Tonight" host addressed Kelly's remarks on Cuomo's "Prime Time" program.
Listen, I know Megyn," Lemon said. "Sometimes you say stupid things when youre live, but Im just gonna be honest. Megyn is 47 years old shes our age. There has never been a time in that 47 years that blackface has been acceptable.
See the article for the rest of the backlash against Kelly.
Will Don Lemon now reject Northam's "Michael Jackson" excuse and live up to his words against Kelly in demanding that Northam step down regardless?

Yknow what?
That IS him as Michael Jackson
