Right now I have $100 in my wallet. I some thug stuck a gun in my face and demanded my money, in the long run, I could afford the $100 loss.

What makes stealing immoral, isn't if the victim can afford it.

Should we compare the cost of this privately-purchased “superyacht” to cost Nancy Pelosi runs up while Speaker - using *our* money, not hers?

Close but it was the much “beloved” George “read my lips” H. W. Bush who agreed to this stinker.

A number of years ago the US had a thriving Luxury Yacht building business. People came from around the world to buy our boats, tricked out with all the toys.

Then DC got greedy and decided to tax the sale of all new luxury yacht.

And the US luxury yacht business went belly up.

A bunch of skilled jobs with corresponding payroll and income taxes went away.

The result was a net revenue loss for the US government.

And the rich just bought their boat else where.

Lizzy, shut your pie hole.

“Remember John Kerry, the former Secretary of State and Massachusetts Senator, the guy who routinely advocated higher taxes but then made sure to protect his own wealth? “

That's not an entirely accurate statement. Kerry is a gigolo! He has no real wealth of his own. “His Yacht” was paid for by his idiot wife Teressa Heinz. Must really pi$$ dead Republican Senator John Heinz off to know that his trash wife has been pi$$ing away his money on a POS like John Kerry.

“Times are tough for everyone. Including gazillionaire John Kerry.

The Massachusetts senator is under fire for docking his brand new $7-million yacht in Rhode Island.

It’s not illegal to moor your boat there or anything. It’s just that Rhode Island doesn’t have a boat sales and use tax anymore.

If the luxurious yacht, which apparently boasts an “Edwardian-style, glossy varnished teak interior, two VIP main cabins and a pilothouse fitted with a wet bar and cold wine storage” were berthed in his home state (commonly known as “Taxachusetts”) then he’d be on the hook for almost $500,000.”

Recently saw 5 “Super Yachts” tied up side by side in San Diego. Every one of them was flying the flag of the Cayman Islands, as were a few other big yachts nearby. Tax the super rich and you will only force them to move their assets off shore, much like we have driven corporations out.

What is Fauxcahontas gonna do? Build a wall to keep the rich from leaving?

Read up on it. Wonder why I thought it Carter ... hmmm. Didn’t know GHW Bush was the one to kill the industry and cause over 600K lost jobs.

Warren is going to leave her open to some Alinsky-ite justice when the truth comes out about her:

Make the enemy live up to their own book of rules. .

She sure isn’t poor, and I’m sure she’s tried to deduct every possible penny from her taxes.

“I’m pretty sure he can pay my new #UltraMillionaireTax to help the millions of yacht-less Americans struggling with student loan debt.”

Yeah, shame on him for stealing from the students' Support Your Local Socialist Professor fund to buy that boat.

“Didn’t Carter do something like tax the boat industry and almost destroyed it along with hundreds of jobs?”

Yes he did, and there was a lot of “trickle down” unemployment as a consequence. At that time I worked for a company that had a division that supplied fiberglass cloth to ChrisCraft in Florida. We had essentially a captive plant there to service their needs. Carter put a serious pinch on our business. Speaking of that feckless turd, why doesn’t he die already? And take Ruthie G. with him.

“Where do these numbskull politicians come from anyway?”

The problem with a lot of them is that they are “career politicians,” people who have made elective office their “life’s work.” We just saw the last of Jerry Brown here in CA. He had two eight year stints (two four year terms each time), separated by being mayor of Oakland, CA. before being elected governor for the first time, he was our AG for a couple of terms. He followed his father who was also a two-term governor here, and his chief of staff for his first two terms was elected governor and was voted out of office at the start of his second term. In short, for most of my life here in CA, the Browns and their cronies have run the place (into the ground).
The operative slogan here: “If it’s Brown, Flush It!” Unfortunately, the voters here don’t know how to use a “political toilet!”

It doesn’t matter whether they can afford her confiscation of property or not. Just because someone can afford it doesn’t mean it is right or that it should be done, and I believe the Constitution forbids the government from confiscation of property. Warren is a lot more wealthy than about 60 percent of the country so I guess that means she should be giving a lot of her wealth to those who have less or it should be confiscated.
