WASHINGTON—Three years after fighting a surprisingly competitive Democratic primary race against Hillary Clinton, Sen. Bernie Sanders, the Vermont independent, is making another run for the White House.
Two sources with direct knowledge of his plans told Yahoo News that Sanders, an independent and self-described “democratic socialist,” plans to announce his presidential bid imminently. While Sanders has been considering a bid for months, one of the sources said he was emboldened by early polls of the race that have consistently showed him as one of the top candidates in a crowded Democratic primary field. In particular, the source said Sanders was heartened to see numbers indicating he is one of the leading candidates among African American and Latino voters, two groups he was perceived as struggling with in 2016.

I don’t think he believes he has a prayer of winning the nomination. He has come up with a scam to come out of the race with more money and more property. Running for president is his retirement plan. This is the reason many Democrats run for office.
Anthony Weiner had something like two million dollars in his campaign fund. The only way he could spend it was to run for office. I’d love to see his campaign expenses.
In Bernie’s case, I think he is collecting outright bribes to go away.

That’s a good possibility. Bloomberg has supposedly been quietly spreading seed money to other democrat politicos and there are many who owe him. I’m still betting the democrat candidate will be a woman.
Not at all, the suburbanites have moved into the vanguard of “progressivism.”
But what about Beto? He can run on the threat that he would win TX even if he didn’t.

O’Rourke said family concerns and the “exhaustion” of his Texas Senate run are still weighing on him.
“There’s an exhaustion after an effort like that, that I’m learning is hard to recover from,” the former Texas congressman said at a local speaker series event. “You don’t snap back.”

Sanders will not run as a Dem. He’s a vote splitter until the Dems take him out.
Not when it comes to their pockets that Sanders would pick. Dem elites are terrified of him being nominated.
