Roger Stone's staff declares he's been 'framed' and denounces Mueller use of 'gestapo's playbook'

Hours after Roger Stone's dramatic dawn arrest in Florida and indictment by special counsel Robert Mueller, his staff posted an image of their boss that asked, "Who framed Roger Stone," a reference to the 1988 Disney movie "Who framed Roger Rabbit."

Mueller used Nazi tactics by directing that Stone be arrested by a dozen armed FBI agents who hammered on his door before dawn, his staff said in an accompanying statement on Instagram.

"This morning's news is deeply saddening," the note said. "Robert Mueller's early morning raid was straight out of the gestapo's playbook. We must fight for Roger Stone ... now more than ever. If they can do this to Roger ... they are coming for us next! -staff"

Stone, a longtime associate of President Trump, was arrested by a dozen armed FBI agents and indicted on seven counts, including making false statements to Congress, witness tampering, and obstruction of justice, early Friday.

In a statement provided to CNN, Stone’s attorney said his client is “vindicated” by the indictment over lying to Congress and obstruction of justice because it proves there is no evidence of collusion with Russian in the 2016 campaign.

“They found no Russian collusion or they would have charged him with it,” Grant Smith said in a statement about the longtime associate of Trump. “Roger Stone is vindicated by the fact that there was no Russian collusion.”

The fact that the Judge set such a low bond ($250,000), tells me even she thinks this stinks.

Collusion is not illegal, so there’s that.

He’s giving a live interview on Infowars.com . He’s NOT going to give in to interviews beyond this other than short, curt answers because he knows how they will contort the answers, so go there to listen to the unedited statements.

Mueller has nothing if he’s going after nobodies like Corsi and Stone.

"Isn’t that how it’s usually done for this kind of “crime”?"

Welcome to the new normal.

Why is lying to Congress a matter for Mueller to prosecute? Isn’t there a regular DOJ left?

The house and senate have made many referrals to the DOJ for lying. Are those cases going to be prosecuted? If not, we have major problems with our justice system. This will get interesting very soon.

Do you see the gear the FBI had.

It looked like a Bin Laden raid. Did they have fighter bombers and gunship helicopters?

Why is President Trump allowing this?

This is Banana Republic stuff.

This is completely unacceptable.

Most of the elected GOP are there to protect and feed Fedzilla.

They are not on the side of the citizens, the rule of law and the Constitution.

The founding fathers would throw this den of thieves out if they knew what they fought for.

Or called his lawyer to arrange it at his law office. Isn’t that how it’s usually done for this kind of “crime”?

exactly, what did they think he would get in a gun battle over some trumped up charges? one day someone might just flip out and do it..

just like Waco it was all for show and an abuse of power imo.

Read the entire indictment against Stone here: https://d3i6fh83elv35t.cloudfront.net/static/2019/01/Roger-Stone-indictment.pdf

It's all about his alleged contacts with Wikileaks and Julian Assange. What crap.

I am getting disgusted with Trump. If he was a man he would shut down Mueller, totally. Trump will be impeached by the House no matter what he does. If the Republicans do not totally go with trump then America is finished. 2020 will be President, Senate, and House a Communists Democrat empire.

I blame Jeff Session for this whole charade. No recusal, no Rosenstein, no Muller, no farce.
