As time has progressed, despite media efforts to the contrary to keep the pressure on POTUS, the demokraps no wall, open borders position had nothing to do with immigration enforcement by other means. There has been no good faith effort on the part of the demokraps. This offer is nothing but to give cover to the demokraps, that they really care about stopping illegal immigration and if passed will turn to become how they defeated Trump on the wall. If government shutdown goes on long enough, maybe the millenials and others will be educated further about the failed 1986 law to end illegal immigration once and for all, Carter and the Muriel boat lift, and the Clinton’s sticking a gun in the face of Elian Gonzalez to “reunite” him with his family.
I see no reason to give in. That’s my point.
Democrats created this mess and they can clean it up when they want to.

“The Wall” is just a symbol at this point. We are 30 million illegals too late for a wall. Still, it is an important symbol for it represents a will to fight back. So, fact is, we will get a wall because Trump has no reason to relent until there IS a wall. Because with no wall there is no country to protect. So, yes, a Big, Bueatiful Wall is worth fighting to the death over and we WILL fight this fight but we should have our eyes open about it. The Wall is our “Ft Sumter” and it IS gonna happen.
Actually, we should be so lucky. We are more likely to get a raving socialist/communist who will happily stomp us into the mud and open the borders wide to assure that the Rats will never ever be challenged again by uppity American voters. The Rats are engaged in population replacement and the pace of caravans and other large groups has increased. We are being buried by a human wave.
I wouldn’t mind if she upped this to $8-million and split it 50-50 with wall-money and gadget-money....promising to come back in 2020 with the funding to wrap up the end of the wall business, and more border patrol agents.
Billions have been spent on electronic border experiments and all have failed. They MONITOR traffic, not stop it.

What about a wide “no-man’s land” that is electronically monitored. If it were a mile wide there would be plenty of time for agents to get to a spot where a crosser entered it before they crossed it and entered America.
