I am a white.
I am a nationalist.
To condemn the joining of the two
is to play into the hands of those
who condemn them separately.
I won’t play into their hatred.

Ok. Whatever.
Go right ahead and then act astonished when you idiots that march out there saying how you are proud “White Nationalists” get raked over the coals, like you had no damn idea of the term as it has been used.
Go ahead and walk right into the hands of the left on it.

Once I embraced my inner racist,
the potential for all that sturm und drang
drastically diminished.

The Left is taking this out of context, it seems, to make it a DNC talking point. The MSM going to ask every Republican to own and disavow King while not asking a single Democrat about that Muslim POS within their ranks who called the President of the United States a M-F'er.
Cruz's answer was scripted boilerplate.

Why do the republicans keep apologizing for what someone said? The Dems never do.
Its time to grow a pair and stop playing their game.

"
In a recent interview with the New York Times, King who served as the national co-chairman for Cruz's 2016 presidential campaign questioned why words like "white nationalist" are now considered racist."
- Those who voted for him in his district do not (generally) read the NYT and he has no valid reason to give interviews to the NYT so they can (so easily) sandbag him.
- He is either trying to sabotage his own part and not get President Trump reelected, or he is not smart enough to realize that is the effect of his interview.
- Either way, too stupid for a Congressman. He should not run for reelection. He is a drag on the national ticket and it is about winning and changing the courts.

That’s adorable.
I’m glad you embracing racism has been such a positive thing for you. /s

Ted Cruz demonstrates his adherence to the enemy’s cause of constantly redefining terms and conditions to suit themselves in the culture war.
Ted Cruz identifies himself as a friend of the enemy.

Racism, like sexual assault, is now so broadly defined it means nothing. If I’m going to be accused of it anyway, might as well accept the mantle and move on. Less aggro.

His record shows he supports President Trump overwhelmingly.
Even brilliant people make mistakes. I doubt he will grant them an interview from here on out. His constituents like him, and I am glad he supports the president. Just like President Trump as candidate Trump said he could walk into the street and shoot some one and his supporters would remain by his side, we didn't believe he actually meant what he said. We were smart enough to realize he was making a shocking analogy that no one who supported him believed he could or would actually do. His constituents must feel the same way. Quit acting like a liberal and quacking at the alter of political correctness. Ted Cruz needs to do the same.

“White” has been completely demonized. White is the Jew of Nazi Germany.

We need to talk more about racism, not less...
..
Not talking about it is the problem.

No. I understand who King is, and how he’s been thought of as something like a paragon of conservatism for years.
He’s also been an active member of Congress for many years, so don’t miss the significance of that.
But what he’s done here is to play into the hands of the deep state. They want racial conflict, and most important in their game is to make black people think they need to stay in the democrat party.

And yes, representative Steve King of Iowa has been something of an anti-Trumper, based on his public comments.
Trumps emergence on the scene has been real tough for those whose “conservative” credentials were manufactured during the pre-Trump era.
Conservatives should be patriots.
