Rep. Andy Biggs said Saturday night that President Trump is "seriously considering" declaring a national emergency over the situation at the U.S.-Mexico border.
Trump told Sean Hannity this week he has "the absolute right" to make such a declaration if an agreement cannot be reached with congressional Democrats on funding for his proposed border wall.
"This is a national emergency, if you look what's happening," Trump said Thursday, during a visit to the border in McAllen, Texas.
Trump's visit to the Lone Star State came just two days after his address to the nation, during which he described the situation at the southern border as a "humanitarian and security crisis."
"The wire's gonna trip soon," Biggs (R-Ariz.) said on Watters' World. "[House Speaker Nancy] Pelosi and [Senate Minority Leader Charles] Schumer are not willing to negotiate at all."

Tuesday is my guess—if the Dems to not move to end this.
Let it run on for months first. Maybe Ruth Buzzy will finally go away and with her replacement on the way we won’t have to sweat Robert’s backstabbing America again. Besides it’s mostly smug Government RATs who are not getting paid. Work this right and the budget may even get balanced this year.
The emergency thing keeps coming up again and again, so I assume that’s what will happen. I hope not.
What happens when some 0bama judge puts the clamps on it? I understand eminent domain is a problem as well.
Is there a plan of action so it’s not tied up in the courts until it’s too late?
Wait till the chaos of the next caravan arrives.
I don’t see any other way. There are 15,000 Honduran parasites surging through Mexico as we speak. Come legal or get the hell out!! No amnesty!!
Keep the government shutdown until the court case is decided.
The wire was tripped decades ago.
Milking it. Trump winning. Dems looking worse every day.
“Is there a plan of action so its not tied up in the courts until its too late?”
Yes...ignore the courts. Weird how many people here think they’re the final arbiters on all executive actions, legislation and the Constitution. Almost like they were ruling from the bench...wait.
Yes, let it run on. Once the the workers most effected put their third mortgage/rent payment on their credit card and they see how much they are being charged for interest, they’ll be demanding their Dem representatives fund the darned wall.
The chatter level seems to be high today, could the Dems be fearing either a nothingburger Mueller drop or Buzzi resignation, and are looking for ways to diminish Trump in light of those events?
Instead of calling it a national emergency, let’s call it a Public Health Emergency under the offices of Health and Human Services. And then declare a humanitarian crisis, necessitating the closure of the southern border until the 800,000 current amnesty cases clear.
I called last week and I will call again. My wife let Kommiela Harris’ people have it on the phone. Man I couldn’t believe it. I don’t want to get on her bad side. I’ve been letting these A-holes know how I feel for decades. At this point it’s all we can due. In the meantime just waiting to ride to the sound of the guns.
imho trump would do well from an optics perspective to wait for another illegal alien related violent crime against a US citizen... unfortunately the wait would probably not take long...
I don’t know why PDJT didn’t tweet pics of dems in Puerto Rico while Fed workers aren’t getting paychecks...
Like, “Dems and federal workers, this is how the Dem congress cares about you”
That’s good. And it is...
Resident Trump should do it already.
The Presidency is an executive position. Executives are supposed to act.
Especially when the Executive himself declares there’s a crisis.
We know Nancy Pelosi won’t solve the crisis at the border. We know Chuck Schumer won’t solve the crisis at the border. And every day that passes without Donald Trump taking action to solve the crisis at the border, it’s reasonable to doubt that he will ever rise to the occasion and do so either.
