Shifting North Magnetic Pole Forces Unprecedented Navigation Fix
gCaptain ^ | January 11, 2019 | Alister Doyle

Rapid shifts in the Earth’s north magnetic pole are forcing researchers to make an unprecedented early update to a model that helps navigation by ships, planes and submarines in the Arctic, scientists said.

We must immediately destroy Western civilization, or the earth is doomed!

If it flips, will the whole earth flip or just it? That would be a ride to remember.

For questions that deep you might want to consult Congressman Hank Johnson!

That’s why I’m moving to Guam, that way I’ll be right side up when everybody else flips over.

You suckers are in for a ride while I’ll be watching it happen & drinking out of my coconut.

There has got to be a way to make some big bucks out of this whole flipping thing.

The problem with it flipping is it will leave us unprotected from the sun’s electromagnetic waves.

Manufacture and sell "Flippin' Hats" to protect the user! Sell them well before the event (and spend the bucks quickly).

I read three new articles about the natural, periodical magnetic field deviation, and all three of them were full of hysterical nonsense. Yes, the magnetic field has been moving around more and getting weaker in spots. But the articles weren’t worth reading and offered no new information of valuable substance.

Lease some idled cargo ships to the PETA whackos, so they can go round up all the polar bears and penguins, and deliver both collections of critters to the opposite ice caps when the poles reverse.

The sun’s magnetic field changes polarity about every 11 years.

If it flips, it will be a gradual process over thousands of years and will not affect the earth’s axis or orbit. North pole will still be where it is now but the north magnetic pole will exchange locations with the south magnetic pole, basically a north magnetic pole is a point of influx and a south magnetic pole a point of egress of charged particles. So that’s what will change, and this has happened numerous times in the past. It would probably be 500-1,000 years at least before the current polarity faded out, then there is likely to be a period of variable and chaotic polarity, followed by the reversal. It does not happen overnight or even in one decade. That will be a difficult situation for navigation and also for human health as the magnetic field protects us from a certain amount of harmful ultra-violet radiation. A weaker field would stop doing that as effectively.

Thats exactly what I was thinking. I wondered if the pole moving toward Russia was drawing warmer air up from the south on this side of the earth? Then again, the south pole would most likely to be movine toward south America..possibly, which could send colder air upwards forcing the warmer air to retreat northward possibly. It could explain why the poles seem to be warming. But then there are volcanos below those icecaps, too. If things are shifting around internally which could have an impact on climate, there goes the idea of tsxing for climate change. It aint man made, and a whole lot of powerful shills who expected to fluff up their bank accounts, are SOL! 😂

"How/Why does the GPS in your smartphone rely on where the model says magnetic north is?"

It doesn't. Geomagnetism has nothing to do with it. The physical location of your GPS receiver is determined relative to the physical positions of satellites and ground stations that monitor the positions of the satellites. It's easier to refer you to the information behind the following links than to explain it all more fully here. The articles are short, simple, easy and fast to read.

How does GPS work?

How does the Global Positioning System work ?

The increasingly shifting, jittering outer core and magnetic field with parts of the field weakening will cause changes in seismicity, volcanism, gas leaks, climate (yes) and rays hitting the earth. The outer core moves around more, and the lower mantle does not have a smooth, consistent underside (speed bumps, heh). The usually stronger magnetic field protected us more from solar and cosmic rays.

No, it's not the end of the world. And yes, it happens naturally once in a great while (not anthropogenic). Wear good hats and long sleeves while spending much time outdoors where and/or when the days are long.

There’s really much more to what will happen with increased movement and weak spots in the magnetic field. The increased outer core and mantle movement will cause increased natural methane leakage from some parts of the earth, which in turn, will cause temporary warm fluctuations in those areas. Weaker spots in the magnetic field will also cause ozone to be depleted more quickly under the weaker spots.

Don’t worry, though, because ozone continuously regenerates. The process we’re seeing won’t make our atmosphere go away as seen in whacky articles mentioning Mars. It might get just a wee bit thinner temporarily, but not enough to be noticeable by us.

Use a search engine to answer your question...a physical flip is impossible, whereas what is happening now may be a portent of a coming magnetic field flip...which happens every so often.

Unfortunately very few will be around to remember it. A change of direction in the inertia of mass traveling at over 11,000 miles an hour is not going to be pretty.
