Working at Paramount was a mixed blessing. The act most recently signed by the studio was Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis, who had experienced success in nightclubs, radio and the new medium of television in the years after the war. The French still love Jerry Lewis, but his movies haven’t aged well. This 1953 movie was a tremendous success, and Harry rang the cash register once again along with lyricist Jack Brooks. You can hear his love of Italian folk songs and opera.

Hello! God Bless our troops past and present! Support them! I am not at home and see it will be at least minus 15 tonight. I hope my pipes do not freeze. My furnace has a mind of its own and sometimes when it gets real cold out you need to tap it to get it working.

Poor Fredd had a rough afternoon. went to go visit a friend and the next door neighbor was target shooting...Fredd was shaking so much it took 15 min for him to stop, now tonight up here in the motel room he just finally laid down! He will be happy to be home tomorrow.
