This has been a difficult couple of weeks.

I cried during my prayers this morning. I asked God to please either heal Richie or call him home. Sobbing.

This situation is killing his family. Grandpa and Grandma visited today but did not get any smiles. Grandpa says Richie is not happy right now. He is conscience and isn't in any pain but he is unable to talk with the ventilator set at max.

They took Brian for lunch to get him away from the hospital for a couple of hours. He is not eating right and getting very little rest.

Without God's miracle, Richie's chance for a Life are not good. He is a special little guy and I will continue praying for a miracle but there is only so much this family can handle.

It looks like this is becoming a real problem for children these days. I read U.S. health officials alarmed by polio-like illness affecting kids. Some kids DO recover after therapy. I continue to lift up Richie and his family in prayer. It breaks my heart, too.

Thanks for the updates, though they are sad, they remind us to keep praying.

We cannot understand God’s plan for us but we have faith that He will gently guide us all home.

Lord Jesus,..... Do hear this cry of hearts full of love and the deepest sorrow as Amy and her family members stand by this wee one awaiting your good hands to move in the direction of your will. If a miracle is to be done Lord now would be a good time this side of heaven, so we do ask that your will be done.

Grant the family the endurance and strength needed as they they place their trust and hope in you....and when they can’t find it let our prayer be sufficient on their behalf.

We commit little Richie into your care along with the family at this time....as we silently stand with them.

The news is devastating! I realize God’s plans may go a different direction than what I’m praying for (miraculous physical healing) so I also pray for His peace and strength for the family, and angels hugging that little boy through all of this.

This situation has to be agonizing for everyone, to see that little guy immobile and not smiling. God has a plan for him, though, and only He is in charge. I do pray that there is still a chance of recovery. Give this family strength, courage and all the love they need for whatever comes next.
