Granted, it's early January. Even so, we have a strong candidate for 2019's most inane piece of political punditry.
On her MSNBC show Sunday morning, Joy Reid declared that a wall would not affect drug trafficking into the United States because:
"People who are drug traffickers can get on a plane and come."

They smuggle them across the border because it is practically free, no security, and you can easily move large quantities at once, etc. Sure, you could fly but you have much more security, increased travel costs and CPB/Customs will notice a huge bundle of drugs so you can only move small amounts at once, unless the dogs sniff it out first.

Yep. From the documentaries I’ve watched the mules will carry large mini-fridge sized bundles of pot, etc. across. No way to carry that by plane without getting caught.
