New York state lost more residents last year than any other state in the U.S.
Newly reported data from the U.S. Census Bureau places New York at the top of the list of just nine states that lost residents between 2017 and 2018.
New York lost 48,510 people while Illinois was close with a drop of 45,116 residents.
New York is the fourth most populous state in the country, trailing only California, Texas and Florida. As a percentage of total population, New Yorks 0.25 percent loss was less significant than that of West Virginia, Illinois, Alaska and Hawaii.
But the latest Census report marks the third straight year New York has lost population, as the overall population in the country grows.
Sadly, many liberals just move to conservative states and vote for the same policies they are escaping.
Your right I left NYS in 1980..
Moved to Colorado and the Californians moved in and ruined it..
Moved to Florida in 2001 and there doing that here...
It is hopeless...there will be few red states in twenty years...
Cities and college towns - leftist strongholds.
Clinton county goes for Clinton!
Come to NC we need more Pubbies here!
State Capital - Home of the FREE STUFF.
If you want the state to do it, why are you fleeing...We don't want it...
Liberals aren’t fleeing anywhere, they are infiltrating!

When an elected governor sez America was never great, marches in the gay pride parade with an ear to ear smile ( (as though he’s saying go f yourself), defends illegal invaders over its own citizenry and supports sanctuary city status, AND arrogantly names a new bridge after his father without any suggestions from the public. Wonder why people are leaving? Oh and lets not forget the commie mayor deblasio who has given his unelected black lesbian wife powers to make decisions for him while he to protect illegal invaders. just another American sh##hole
I left upper NYS in 82, and other than state fortresses of prisons or colleges, it’s a ghost town. The people leaving are conservatives that see themselves becoming sucked dry and increasingly isolated by commies in Albany and NYC. It’s been lost for many years, just taking its time to decompose....
It’s changed the Richmond Va area the last 10 years. Probably Hampton roads area too.
Agree. They are being encouraged to move into red states. Imo
Blue State movers should AVOID Colorado.
Colorado has that far right wing Focus on the Family.
They are White Nationalist, racist Nazis.
Focus activists infest every town.
And they only promote TWO genders!
Stay away from Colorado.
FWIW, the only people we know who are leaving are conservatives, makers, not takers. The freebies are too good for the takers to want to leave. Which is a huge problem for the remaining NYS taxpayers left holding the bag.
We believe this fake news at our own cost. My experience is that heavily Hispanic, Black and Asian Chicago suburb swung 55%D 65%R 85%D 87%R.
In the 65%R and 87%R 100% of Hispanics voted R (except 1 Puerto Rican on welfare). In the 85%D 100% of the Hispanics voted D because the R establishment put up establishment Jim Ryan for Governor because he was trying to murder Rolando Cruz.
In the 65%R I got about 20 or 30% of the Black vote. In the 87%R the Black Preacher’s wife got nearly 100% of the Black vote, as well as 100% of the Hispanic vote.
There was only 13% of solid D vote that did not flip. They were mostly divorced and single promiscuous angry women.
The Asian vote was smaller and swung less than the white, Hispanic and Black.
I moved to SE Atlanta. In E Atlanta (NE of me) precints 50-50 New & old residents and 50-50 Black and white (No Hispanics) went 65% for Clinton and a couple months later went 65% for the Republican candidate for mayor.
In knocking door-to-door since 1964 it is flat out fake news that voters don’t swing.
Any effective door-knocker who listens to voters knows this.
