Democrat plans to focus on threat of climate change

Jay Inslee, the governor of Washington state, is running for president with a single-issue focus on climate change. The governor’s intention to compete for the Democratic nomination was announced in an article published Wednesday in The Atlantic. Inslee has served as governor of the state since 2012. One of focuses has been environmental concerns in the state, including reducing the use of fossil fuels while pushing alternative energy development and boosting green jobs, according to his bio. As governor, he also has pushed for investments in education, creating jobs, supporting workers and boosting the state’s transparency, his official bio said.

He is co-chair and co-founder of the U.S. Climate Alliance, a bipartisan group of 17 governors who seek to implement the policy goals of the Paris Agreement.

Yes, this is great! He’ll probably look to make all of the USA just like Seattle. A winning outlook for the Dems!

They said the same thing about us in 2016. Paybacks for democrats are not going to be fun. Of course the media will call it healthy competition.

The question at this point should be...

As a Democrat, who ISN’T running for president in 2020?

Insane anti-Trump liberals are out there with fistfuls of cash, trying to figure out who they should throw it to.

In this same world are dozens of Democratic politicians who would just love to have fistfuls of cash thrown at them.

This is why you will see dozens of Democratic Presidential candidates.

There's only about four who are really running rather than grubbing. Inslee is in the grubbing group.

In the Iowa Caucus system...I’d say he’s got a 2-percent chance of winning. Whatever money he has....will be blown and gone by the end of Iowa. He might want to ask them how the climate change ranks with them...it won’t be in the top forty topics of conversation.

Wouldn’t that make a great campaign slogan!

Make America Like Seattle! He can wear a red hat with “MALS” on it.

This guy is a complete moron. First elected to the House in 1992 from conservative Eastern Washington 4th District by selling himself as farmer. Got thrown out in the congressional cleansing in 1994 due to his support of everything the Clinton’s wanted including the assault weapons ban.

Then he tucked tale and hid back on uber-liberal Bainbridge Island until there commie congress critter retired several years later and got elected from that district. After several terms in congress he was elected as governor of Washington by King, Snohomish, and Pierce County libs. He has raised gas taxes and has tried for years to implement his carbon tax scheme, first through direct legislation that fell flat and never came out as a bill, and then tried through the initiative process this past November.

He’s a mush brained, mushed mouth liberal who has no business running for president except to be used as someone to take the earlier heat off of the eventual winner of their party.

No longer is a car large enough. I think a bus is also insufficient. I think the Dims will require a train ....

Where is Ozzy when you need him - all aboard the Crazy Train!

Paging Howard Dean - we need a train driver ... please pick up the nearest White Courtesy phone.

And so begins the race to the left in the primaries...

What remains is to determine how the eventual winner will then sprint back to the center in an attempt to appear “moderate”.

I laugh every time local news station KIRO 7 runs an Inslee story. They use the "Clark Kent" stock photo with the guv about to whip off his glasses.

If Inslee was a superhero, he would definitely be DC, and known as The Lisper. His only powers would be a speech impediment and the overwhelming drive not to take "no" on a carbon tax.

Roll out a fleet of buses! The more should be the merrier, from our point of view. Alas he cannot tear my heart away from Liz. Dumb as a post. Mean as a snake. A fake and a fraud. Hillary without the charm. She’s my girl!

Yep, you gotta figure there are bags of money available just for running. And we ain't seen nothin' yet as far as sheer number of "candidates".
