Donald Trump is the richest president in U.S. history but as he gears up for a re-election campaign, the real estate magnate could end up facing off against someone even wealthier.
The budding 2020 field of potential challengers includes no fewer than four fellow billionaires.
The wealthiest of the pack, by far, is former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg. The media mogul and gun control advocates net worth is estimated at nearly $52 billion, according to the latest Forbes 400 Richest Americans list.

Super-rich potential candidates all hinting at bids to topple Trump in 2020
What better endorsement could President Donald J. Trump have than all the American super wealthy elite Rich Guys want him out.
They think we voted for Trump because he’s a billionaire.
Boy, do they have a surprise coming.
I voted for him because he acts more like an everyday guy than any other candidate I have ever seen.
If Bloomberg thinks he can buy his way to win the hearts and minds of the vast numbers of middle Americans who cling to their God and guns, let him try. The only folks who will vote for him are the ones already lined up for the Democrats.
Amen.
I voted for him because all the enemies of America hate him.
I voted for him because he acts more like an everyday guy than any other candidate I have ever voted for.
Michael Bloomberg had a SUV kept running with the a/c on while he was in meetings. He did this so he did not get too warm in the hot humid weather. When the news media called him on this as Michael Bloomberg is one of the climate nuts he then had a portable a/c unit on a custom built rig that would roll up to the side window of the now powered off SUV and cool it. How was that done? By a long extension cord to the building he was having his meeting in......

Good. Come out of the woodwork so we can see who is behind the scenes working against the people. Then, later, we can find you and hang you.
“Boy, do they have a surprise coming.”
Maybe. He could finance a lot of cheating.
Mark Cuban is too strange and unpredictable and reminds people too much of Gomer Pyle.
Howard Schultz isn't very well known: if he had any charisma at all, wouldn't he have made an impression on anybody by now?
Tom Steyer will probably run. He will not get anywhere. But it will be entertaining.
Bottom line: Enough Democrats will vote for an old white guy to give him the nomination, but the more old white guys run the more they split the vote and make it less likely that one of them could win.
Bloomberg, Steyer... neither have a snowball’s chance to get anywhere in 2020.
Bunch of old white men. LOL!
Bring em on
Trump will destroy any of em
The following is something I posted from time to time in the run up to the 2016 election.
No one on the other side can claim anything even close to this.
As someone about Trumps age, I find it easy to believe his explanation as to why he’s running.
I’ve agonized over the America we are leaving for my own children and grandchildren to live in and raise their families in. Most Freepers here probably feel the same way.
America hardly resembles the one I grew up in. It’s but a shadow of its former self, with freedoms, successes, with respect from our friends, and fear of us by our enemies, all but non-existent.
Trump said he was running so that his family wouldn’t look at him, knowing he could have fixed it, but didn’t.
His own story of building the Trump Organization shows that he knows how to build great empires. Now he wants to make all of America great again.
I think we are but the lucky side beneficiaries.
Because money alone wins Presidential elections. Just ask President Perot and President Forbes.
Yeah sure; go away dummies.
Nanny Bloombug?!
Will he be borrowing Tiny Tom Daschle’s step stool...?
I hope Bloomberg runs. Hell lose of course.
