Newly elected New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a self-described Democratic socialist, called for a furlough of congressional salaries in the event of another government shutdown on Saturday.

“It’s completely unacceptable that members of Congress can force a government shutdown on partisan lines & then have Congressional salaries exempt from that decision,” she wrote on Twitter. “Have some integrity.”

Communism is imaginary and undefined. The way Marx described it (if you could call it that), it is supposed to be a “stateless” version of socialism where the proletariat has magically discovered the nonexistence of the bourgeoisie and the state just somehow “withers away”.
The only other description of communism Marx offered is it being “an association in which the free development of each is the condition of the free development of all” (whatever that means; looks like word salad to me), while Engels said something equally nebulous, to wit “The government of persons is replaced by the administration of things and the direction of the processes of production”. All while being devoid of nation, family, religion and/or definable morality.
That’s twice I agree with Loopy. The first was her opposition to the moronic giveaway to Bezos by Red Whilhelm deBlasio and Mario’s brat.
Hah! Occasional-Cortex finally used her cortex! If she’d start using it more than just occasionally, she’d quit being a socialist and a demonicRAT.

I don’t see any conspiracy here. Ocasio-Cortez got lucky because her Democrat primary opponent got lazy. And now the media gather around her like small children gather around a shiny new toy.

That I agree with. Her views are silly. But some people listen to her. And that’s dangerous.
I thought Nancy had a little private chat with Alexandra and told her all about “the pork and the gravy.”

She couldn’t say that President Trump should forego his salary because he already does. Nancy and Chuckie can afford to forfeit their Congresscritter pay.

Our soon-to-be ex-governor Rauner tried to do that in IL to force the crooked legislature to do its job and pass a budget. Didn’t take ‘em long to find a judge to say he couldn’t do that. Great idea, tho.
