A Florida man has started a GoFundMe campaign to raise money online for President Trump's border wall, saying "it's up to Americans to help out and pitch in to get this project rolling." As of Thursday afternoon, the GoFundMe campaign has raised more than $6 million, with a goal of $1 billion — a fifth of the $5 billion that President Trump has been demanding, unsuccessfully, from Congress.
Brian Kolfage, who says on the page he is a Purple Heart war veteran who lost three limbs, writes: "If the 63 million people who voted for Trump each pledge $80, we can build the wall." The fundraiser received contributions from more than 100,000 people by Thursday afternoon

Saw on twitter that gofundme receives 15 percent of the money since the money is being raised on their site is that true?
The goal is actually $5B, but GoFundMe site does not have the capability to display over $1B. 63M * $80 = >$5B

Not true. As you make a donation, there is place that is auto filled in to make a donation to GoFundMe. Set it to 0 and they do not get anything. Of course the bank takes it’s customary percentage to use a credit card. Like 2.5% I think.

No. Only if you want to give a ‘tip’ to GoFundMe.
So when you make your contribution, just opt out of the 15% tip by clicking the opt out button.

Thought maybe it was like Ebay when you use the site, they take a percentage so this is good news.I posted on another thread, for sure I would give 150 bucks(So would my Mom) if I knew for sure 100 percent this money would go towards the wall, dont want to have to go through the hassle of having to get my money back..
I am thinking if the People can raise $1B, congress should be able to raise $5B.....
It was advancing at $100,000.00 every five minutes a while ago.
I refreshed the screen after five minutes at one point, and it had gone up by the much.
You get your money back automatically if it does not go 100% to the wall. Read the full page before you make a donation. If you want to make a statement, this is a way to do it.
Hopefully their legal document also includes restrictions on the US from allowing asylum claims for economic migrants at the ‘big beautiful doors’, or flying caravaners over it in chartered aircraft, or not performing visa entry/exit checks, and a thousand other things.
A wall without government enforcement and intent to use it to restrict legal and illegal entry is useless.

I do not see how anyone can shut this down. But, of course, there are lots of people who hate the thought of ‘We The People’ taking action.
The best way to preclude anyone from shutting this down is for millions of people to make a contribution. The minimum contribution allowed on GoFundMe is $5.00.
If the donations keep coming in at 10,000 per hour, but this time tomorrow there will be 350,000 contributors.
BTW Kolfage will be on Laura Ingraham at 10 pm tonight.
That will activate mega-contributors.
