Sullivan begins by BACKTRACKING on his remarks that Flynn was an unregistered foreign agent while working in the White House, and that he may have committed treason.
"I felt terrible about that," Sullivan says, after the prosecutor notes Flynn's conduct as a foreign agent ended in mid-Nov 2016. "I'm not suggesting he committed treason," Sullivan adds, further apologizing for his remarks in the prior session.

Most conservative legal pundits I’ve read have said that law would never stand up to constitutional scrutiny. That’s why nobody has ever been prosecuted under it.

How does this even fit? Flynn’s action in advocating for deportation of an obscure cleric wanted by the Turkish government was not directly or indirectly against the USA.

Recall, Flynn and Jill Stein and VIPS’ Ray McGovern attended the Russia Today dinner. It’s easy to understand a Green Party candidate and Ray McGovern writing op eds for RT... but why was Flynn involved with Russia Today?
That’s always bugged me as Ray McGovern is a LaRouche guy... and was involved in pushing the Valerie Plame story against Scooter Libby and both were involved with Dan Ellesberg of Pentagon Papers fame.
This was an attempt by his lawyers to get Flynn no jail time for the Turkey mess. Muellhead still wants to pressure Flynn to lie about Trump that’s why he doesn’t want the sentencing to happen. The judge is openly advocating for Flynn to toss out his guilty plea. It looks like he’s still going over the information Mueller just released to him last night. NONE of what they’re talking about has anything to do with what Flynn pled to, which is lying to the FBI. Never seen anything like it in my life.
That is a separate topic in many respects. The same laws should apply to everyone and maybe Trump or our AG could say, time to look across the board, assign investigators or a special counsel if they can’t be trusted to do that. Look at every American working for a foreign government—first, cancel any security clearances, second, cancel any access to government staff or offices. Maybe put them all on watch lists and scrutinize their electronics when they return from overseas? Traitors are traitors and doesn’t matter their party or past roles in government.

I would have thought that judges carefully prepare their comments from the bench. But I guess I’m wrong. It now looks like they say whatever they feel like at the moment.
Podesta was involved in Turkey as well.
