President Emmanuel Macron is to deliver an apologetic address on television and announce further tax cuts following a day of violent protests across the country on Saturday. Cities including Paris, Marseille and Bordeaux exploded into violence on Saturday, during the fourth weekend of demonstrations in a row by Yellow Vest protesters. Burned-out cars dotted the streets in several neighbourhoods in Paris on Sunday morning as cleaners swept up the broken glass from smashed shop windows and bus stops. Throughout Saturday, Macron skulked behind the majestic walls of his presidential palace in Paris while outside, his city – and his country – once again erupted in fury.

Indeed. It is now governance by mob with no leader just the whim of the populus. And I guess that is the definition of Democracy. No strategy, no understanding, no end game. Just destruction.

This isn’t about taxes. It’s about the migrants, the fact their society isn’t a safe one to live in, and that they feel they are being led to a slaughter - first financially, and then literally.
This isn’t going to work. People are calling for MARTIAL LAW and they are calling for a new government.
The apologia isn’t going to work. I’ve got family members connecting through Paris and I’m starting to worry. I see a general strike coming.

Reminds me of a recent documentary we watched regarding the assassination of Caesar. The folks that did it did not have an end game, were eventually hunted down and killed. Same goes for the assassination of Lincoln.
I realize my examples are much different than the French situation.
But let’s assume Marine Le Pen stepped to the forefront to lead them, I’m certain the Macron government could find something illegal, similar to a revolution, and order a military crackdown.
Regardless, the outcome will be interesting.
Eventually, it becomes anarchy and then the people cry out for someone to take power to instill law and order.
Happened before there and the man who came to power managed to kill off a good portion of the French male population through his wars.
Anarchy usually results in dictatorships.
The assembly needs to remove Macroon from power. In theory they can, but..
what I find interesting is that when the muzzies riot and burn, the police do virtually nothing.
When it's French citizens, they use tear gas, hand grenades and arrest by the boatload.
I wonder how many French have noticed that.

There is a bit of wisdom most revolts ignore: before you shoot the horse you’re riding, make sure you have the next one ready to mount.
The French don’t have any remote idea what they want for the next thing. So they are in for more of the same. Or Arab religious law.
