Lieutenant General John F. Kelly has done more in the service of this Republic than most could ever dream about.

Well said, you're exactly right.

Anyone that worked in the Corps will laugh in your face because they know Mattis and Kelly.

I'll laugh back. Like the JD, DOD is corrupt with lefties. A rel Sec def would have ended cross dressing faggots in the military on DAY ONE.

We have a very opaque government, even more opaque than the Kremlin was during the cold war. It's the small things that give you the big picture. Here's another example, Pentagon spokesman the other day said posse comitatus prevented the military from enforcing border control. THAT IS A LIE - the law does no such thing. They just don't want too. They don't want to because of the culture of leftist globalism.

LOL you could not be more wrong!! I worked a significant time in the USMC. You bought a line of BS from the left or some conspiracy theorist.

It was POTUS who suggested Mattis might be a Democrat. Given his tip toe through the tulips track record at DOD I think he may be right.

I saw that article and found it to be dubious at best. We see lots of things attributed to people saying things that are not true.

Few last that long in that position with ANY president. The job is beyond grueling. Generally after 2 years, there’s a massive turnover at the White House. This is nothing new.

I would think that any advisor to any President works 7 days a week, far into the night.

In 2017, Mattis said that budget cuts would hamper the ability to monitor the impact of climate change,[12] and noted, "climate change is a challenge that requires a broader, whole-of-government response."[132]

Mattis has never been married[54] and has no children.[2] He proposed to a woman named Alice Gillis, but she called off the wedding days before it was to occur, not wanting to burden his career.[19] He is nicknamed "The Warrior Monk" because of his bachelorhood and lifelong devotion to the study of war.[133]

As you state, perfectly normal for a president to churn through 2-3 chief of staffs in an average term.

It's a burnout job and 18 months is probably about right to move on and let somebody else take over.

From the NY Times:

https://www.nytimes.com/2018/12/08/us/politics/john-kelly-chief-staff-trump.html

“Mr. Ayers, 36, has told Mr. Trump that he would serve on an interim basis through the spring, when his family will return to Georgia, according to people familiar with the discussions. But Mr. Trump, who frets about the image of a White House in constant chaos, wants a full-time replacement and is eager for Mr. Ayers to stay for the duration.

If the president ultimately turns to another candidate, potential choices include the Treasury secretary, Steven Mnuchin; his budget director, Mick Mulvaney; and the United States trade representative, Robert Lighthizer.”

The candidate of those mentioned that jumps out at me is Mick Mulvaney. He’s one seriously sharp dude and handles the press masterfully.

Bannon should be CoS.

First requirement would be he stay off the booze. But even then I don't know if he has the organizational skills for the job.

With Ayers in place, there is a good chance Pence stays on the ticket.

More like a false quote to make stupid people like you oppose him. You have to understand where he fits in the current political situation and I am not going to waste my breath explaining it. Going to watch the Army-Navy game.
