Agree! For me it is like/hate for George Bush (I voted Ross Perot) but like I posted....You make it to 94 then you have my respect. You must be very OK on some levels. His boys were dumber and weaker and got us involved in eternal wars in useless Muslim nations.

I posted the source. And I noted that all the text is excerpts from the post. Before accusing anyone of crap, it’s a crappy thing for someone to jump on someone and to make false accusations, and ask for a source that is already posted, if one were smart enough to read it. That is something CNN does, I would expect something better from a freeper. Sheesh.
I’m not claiming to be a hero, far from it, just reporting facts. I noted that the text I posted is from the article I linked to in the post. If you knew anything about history, you would already know it. There was a lot of controversy about his actions in WWII. I don’t blame him for the loss of two planes, as this was wartime. But I do blame him for being less than truthful on a number of things, and he did give conflicting accounts of what actually happened and never set the record straight.
His military service as a Navy aviator during WWII comes to mind.
