You don't know the history of the wars we've been involved in, do you. Just because our military relatively recently tries to avoid civilian casualties, dosen't mean civilians by the thousands were spared previously.
I don’t know anything about womens’ clothing, but the handbag and sneakers look new. The shirt is some sort of commercially produced item as well. Certainly not rags.

Well lets see if that actually happens.....if they know they’re being deported they could just claim asylum in mexico......we shall learn sooner than later.

This great news. One thing that I know is that you do not pick fights with Tijuana police in Tijuana. Trump should say “Thank you. Muchas gracias for deporting Central Americans.” Maybe we could pay Mexico a few bucks for every Central American that the Mexicans deport.

There are 3 POEs at Calais. All three cross the St. Croix river, which is swift and usually pretty dam cold year round. The BP has been reinforcing these POEs now for a number of years utilizing high tech equipment and tactics.
1. Is the ancient bridge at Milltown that the locals tend to use to avoid the tourist traffic in the summer. It could easily be defended, or blown,...no great loss. 2. The downtown Calais bridge which is a little newer and higher above the river also easy to defend. 3. there is the new “state-of-the-art” bridge just outside of town. It’s an armored fortress.
Even if they swarmed and managed to cross there, there is nowhere to go for a 100 miles in any direction, and knowing the locals from the area, they’d eat em alive for target practice. It would be a bad choice for an invasion.
I (and others) can only go by your own words, "no us commander will ever open fire on unarmed civilians." This is historically inaccurate. Now if you had qualified that exact statement by saying something like "these days," or "modern US commander," then I'd agree with you.

Well all you need to do is take out some 20 or so tattooed gang members and everyone else will fall back.

Yes it’s child abuse.....purposely taking your children into a “KNOWN” volitile situation.....the mother was not comforting this child afterwards rather possing her for the reporter.
The child is innocent....the mother isn’t. Besides I think the mother is mexican.....grabbed her kids to run for the border..no shoes or pants.....when all oter caravan folks are dressed.
I think the women and children that we’ll see are mexican mothers taking advantage of the caravans to get across te borders.
Not bad tactical thinking on their part.
But they’re not getting through.
It seems like we are quite prepared this time.
I am VERY VERY slow to coming around to the threat of death in most instances.
It seems like we are close to/have passed the point where it may be the only thing to completely and utterly deter future invasions.
And it would SAVE rapes and murders and extortion and narcotic pushing en masse in the long run.
The Christian part in me makes me want killing as a last resort.
But even Jesus lost it when folks were using God’s ground to push their wares.
He must have known there is a limit to how much a person or country could take.
