If you read the article, the decreased total solar irradiance from the super grand minimum of sunspots AND the movement of earth away from the sun due to Milankovitch orbital alignment results in a loss of 8 watts per square meter of energy capture at the surface of earth. The contribution of CO2 is a gain of 1.5 watts of energy capture per square meter. We have a net loss of 6.5 watts of energy per square meter. The consequence is a drop in temperature below what we need to grow food. The near term 2028 to 2032 looks to be fairly severe. Famine is an ugly thing and there isn't much we can do about it.
