Fox News host Mark Levin defended President Trump on Wednesday after Chief Justice John Roberts rebuked the president's criticism of a federal judge.
The conservative host argued in a Facebook post defending Trump that "there are ... too many progressive judges and justices who legislate from the bench."
"Indeed, when it came to Obamacare, Roberts himself led the courts leftists in rewriting the Constitution and imposing that damnable law on all of us," he wrote.
"It appears John Roberts doesnt live in the real world."
Levin weighed in after Roberts offered a rare statement rebuking Trump's criticism of a federal judge who ruled against the administration's asylum policy this week.
Trump on Tuesday called the U.S. District Court Judge Jon Tigar "an Obama judge" while defending his administration's policy and ripping the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, which hears cases appealed by the district court.
Tigar was appointed to the federal bench by the former president in 2012.
"We do not have Obama judges or Trump judges, Bush judges or Clinton judges," Roberts responded to Trump in his statement Wednesday.
"What we have is an extraordinary group of dedicated judges doing their level best to do equal right to those appearing before them."
Roberts caught flak from many conservatives following his surprising swing vote in favor of the Affordable Care Act, or Obamacare, in 2012.
Levin, who currently hosts a nationally-syndicated radio program and a weekly one-hour program on Fox News, noted the ObamaCare vote on Wednesday.
"We dont need any lectures from him. Indeed, he should be admonishing his own branch of government for its outrageous activism rather than playing to the media by attacking the president. Classless," Levin wrote.
I agree; despite Mark’s opposition to Pres. Trump during the primary season he’s been pretty fair and supportive since then. TBH I voted for Cruz in the primary but had no choice but to vote MAGA in the general.
Not to mention that the President’s various travel/entry bans are fully and firmly ensconced in the US Code. Prior decisions have held that the President acts at the fullest within his powers wham Congress has passed a law allowing the particular action.
I guess these activist bench-occupiers expect the President to break the law like they do. Or allowed the Pretender to do.
One could make a case that ignoring the Constitution and established law hardly falls in the category of “good behavior”, and these bench-occupiers are and should be subject to impeachment.
Roberts knows President Trump told the truth. But, honor among thieves . . .
There are Obama judges and then there are Bush judges, and often they are indistinguishable in their unconstitutional legislative grabs.
John Roberts is the one that screwed America over by allowing Obamacare to remain the law of the land..so Roberts deserve all the criticism he gets
Amen, in my view Levin has been darn supported of President Trump since he’s been in office.
Great comments by Mark.
Let's Wrap This FReepathon Up, Folks!
As did I and I have supported Trump since he was nominated. I do wish the original Trumper’s would cut us a bit of slack though as many even on this forum seem to think that just because we supported Cruz in the primaries we are to be considered “never Trumpers” always.
There is no need to be honest about that. TMI.
Just something about these two. Where they separated at birth?
I think a lot of that has died downed these last two years; the primary debates were pretty heated to say the least.
That said, I’m voting Trump again in 2020. Despite a few hiccups, I’m happy with him so far.
Roberts criticism was classless.

A point made on tonight’s Fox News:
75 percent of the 9th Circuit’s decisions are OVERTURNED.
Roberts is signalling he is going to oppose Trump’s MAGA agenda. The 2020 election season has begun.
POTUS was very respectful in his tweet to Roberts. “Please”, etc. Contrast that with Roberts sticking his nose into the political arena. We have a real problem with the judicial branch and military officers feeling emboldened by Never Trumpers to oppose the duly elected POTUS, IMO.
Some has but I’m surprised often how much of that animosity still exists. It’s like that initial Cruz support is simply an unforgivable sin.
Here’s the thing about Trump. If we’re thinking it, he will eventually utter it.
John Roberts ruled like he did on obamacare because he was blackmailed by things which surfaced by using intelligence assets against him.
