McDaniel voters still not sold on Hyde-Smith. Here's why.

For the uninitiated, a lot of McDaniel fans feel they got screwed in former Sen. Thad Cochran’s re-election, when the Cochran-Barbour machine in Mississippi worked every conceivable angle to deprive McDaniel—who is regarded as a stauncher conservative but also was accused of racism and may even have appealed to some Mississippi voters as a result of it—of a win.

Subsequently, that same machine let a short time pass, Cochran exited the US Senate, and Hyde-Smith—a former Democrat who also has the backing of the same Mississippi GOP establishment—took his place.

[...]

Not only did Hyde-Smith used to be a Democrat; like her Democratic opponent, she reportedly has some big Clintonworld connections. He was a Cabinet secretary for Bill, by far the more Southerner-friendly of the pair. She, by contrast, has been reported by a McDaniel-friendly publication to have been in business with one “Umesh Sanjanwala, the father of a Hillary Clinton consultant.” (Fun tidbit: The business reportedly used a URL previously used by an occult-oriented firm that offered “services for communicating with the dead”; if you believe this report, Hyde-Smith may have been planning to use it for an online ministry).

The same report also indicates that as a lobbyist, Hyde-Smith worked for the National Coalition on Health Care, which has some pretty lefty members and is supportive of Obamacare—likely a deal-breaker for hardcore McDaniel fans.

The rumor among McDaniel folks is that Hyde-Smith voted for Hillary Clinton in the 2008 Democratic primary, a rumor that is basically reported as fact by this same pro-McDaniel outlet, and one that hasn’t exactly been put to bed by Hyde-Smith and her own comments on the topic.

Yes, it is, and it’s also interesting to see GOP cheerleaders trying to shame me into supporting their craptacular political party.

I don’t have any use for this party.

Sorry to those who feel it is my duty to support whatever puke candidate it vomits forth, but uh, they don’t do anything about things I believe in so, you know, I can only care so much about these jerks before I don’t care about them anymore.

Most older politicians and adults pre-1990 were Democrats though they tended to vote Republican for President.

Here's why.

I'm always glad to get told by someone with God-like understanding.

Somebody said it and that settles it.

We're all just ignorant slugs, we need someone to proclaim "Here's why."

Not my seat to give.

I live in Florida, and I gave my seat to Scott, so thank me very much.

I’m welcome.

You seem to forget McConnell kept Obama’s last Supreme Court nominee off the court. Does he not get any credit for that? Or for gaining Senate approval for all of the lower court judges?

McConnell did the minimum required of a party leader. He gets no credit or participation trophy for that. Sorry.

Projecting again, Johnnie

Democrats in R jerseys that shred the Constitution and give away the country are just as destructive as Democrats in D jerseys.

The Republican Party is a coalition of the old, moderate Eastern Establishment and the Conservative movement. The Conservative Movement itself is also a coalition of Trumpist ex-democrats, Religious Conservatives, Chamber of Commerce Conservatives and Libertarian/Conservatives.

No one branch of the party or the movement can control the policy moves of the entity without help from one or more of the other branches. Unfortunately some give and take is necessary for the left to be defeated.

In this day and age the idea that ANY Republican is as bad or worst than ANY democrat is silly. If McConnell had allowed Garland to be seated you would have been bitching louder than anyone.

My choice was Chris McDaniel, but I ’ll vote for Cindy. We need that Senate seat!

So by default you vote for Espy. He will vote even more often against your positions. However, after he wins NEVER let me see a post from you complaining about Senate votes again.

Well, you may not consider some of the proven allegations about Roy Moore, “proof,” but I do.

I don't recall any allegations of attempted rape or molestation of a 14 year old being proven. The claim that he dated women who were teenagers he admitted, but what sunk him is the accusation that he tried to rape a woman and that he tried to molest a 14 year old.

An adult male doesn’t “date” high school girls.

Him 39, her 17.

New York based media weapon systems don't care about 35 year old men dating teenagers unless they can use it to attack conservative politicians.

Other examples of "We don't care." from the New York media moral police.

"Not only did Hayden Panettiere and Milo Ventimiglia date when she was 17 and he was 29, but he was playing her uncle on "Heroes" at the time. (AP Photo/NBC, Chris Haston)"

"John Mayer and Taylor Swift dated when she was 19 and he was 32. Then, Swift went on to date Conor Kennedy when she was 22 and he was 18. (AP Photo/Evan Agostini) "

"Henry Cavill, 32, brought his 19-year-old girlfriend, Tara King, as his date to the Vanity Fair Oscar party. He opened up about the relationship to Elle, telling the mag, "People say age is just a number. It's actually real and true sign of someone's maturity. But in this case, she's fantastic." "

"Doug Hutchison married Courtney Stodden in 2011. At the time, Hutchison was 51 and Stodden was 16. "

"When Paul Walker wasn't busy being fast or furious, he was chasing minors. The Daily Mail reports that Walker began dating longtime girlfriend Jasmine Pilchard-Gosnell in 2006. Considering she was 23 at the time of his death in 2013, that means she was 16 to his 33 when they first started dating. His girlfriend before Pilchard-Gosnell, Aubrianna Atwell, was also 16 when she began dating the then-28-year-old Walker. "

the a$$hats in this thread still have their panties in a bunch over roy moore.

And Chris McDaniel. And Todd Akin, and Richard Mourdock, and Sharron Angle, and Christine O'Donnell, and George Allen, and a host of other candidates that were viciously attacked by the media weapon system while being systematically backstabbed by their supposedly Republican allies.

From my perspective, the @$$hats in this thread just keep ignoring the backstabbing and media attacks while buying into the false media claims that these were "bad candidates" rather than good candidates F***ed over by a Uniparty media weapon that didn't want them rocking the financial boat in Washington DC, because all the powerful people who control the media weapon are making a good living from those money streams coming out of our corrupt Capitol city.

Yeah, she was 16 and he was 51.

It didn't work out.

Why are you supporting Hollywood values all of a sudden?

Yes, but does it balance what his PAC did to McDaniel? Yes, he did us good on stopping Obama's nominee, but he has been quite vicious in his efforts to attack and destroy the Tea Party movement.

He has also done well in securing votes for Trump's nominees, but this is a case where adversaries have a common cause. He still wants to destroy the Tea Party reform movement that wants to stop the taxing and spending, and I believe he wants them stopped because he has become a Washington DC denizen that thrives on taxing and spending.

I'm not going to forgive McConnell for what he did to McDaniel, (even though I don't know the man and don't live in his state), but I will support him in our common objectives.

Arpaio cost us the Ward nomination, but did not have any effect on the McSally defeat.

I'm not sure I believe McSally was defeated by anything other than election corruption anyways. The differences in votes for governor versus votes for Senator don't make any sense at all.

so, now you’re trying to justify what moore did by pointing out that it happens in hollyweird?

your honor, the prosecution rests.

Sorry, i'm not from Mississippi. I'm just upset about what the Rino establishment did to McDaniel in the previous election.

At a guess, I would say he didn't appoint McDaniel because the Mitch McConnell smear coalition has so badly damaged McDaniel that the national media would have destroyed him if he had to run for office.

The Barbour/McConnell coalition smeared him as a racist, and it's virtually impossible to get back your reputation after that.

Todd Akin, and Richard Mourdock, Sharron Angle, and Christine O’Donnell all losing perfectly winnable senate seats is EXACTLY what got our healthcare hijacked, by the way.

so, in addition to all your other crimes of ignorance, now I accuse you of being responsible for ACA.
