You seem to forget McConnell kept Obama’s last Supreme Court nominee off the court. Does he not get any credit for that? Or for gaining Senate approval for all of the lower court judges?
McConnell did the minimum required of a party leader. He gets no credit or participation trophy for that. Sorry.
The Republican Party is a coalition of the old, moderate Eastern Establishment and the Conservative movement. The Conservative Movement itself is also a coalition of Trumpist ex-democrats, Religious Conservatives, Chamber of Commerce Conservatives and Libertarian/Conservatives.
No one branch of the party or the movement can control the policy moves of the entity without help from one or more of the other branches. Unfortunately some give and take is necessary for the left to be defeated.
In this day and age the idea that ANY Republican is as bad or worst than ANY democrat is silly. If McConnell had allowed Garland to be seated you would have been bitching louder than anyone.
