Roy is playin' a 12 string Ovation Breadwinner. I can remember the Hew Haw days sitting in the family room watching the adults laugh. RIP Roy.

Also won the banjo championship twice by the time he was 15.
I saw him live in Las Vegas (and real good seats).
What an entertainer.

I confess, I hated Hee Haw as a kid. I didnt really appreciate these guys until much later on. I wasn't fond of it, but yeah, I appreciated it more, later on.

“My favorite Roy clip
Roy Clark - Malaguena (The Odd Couple)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-xssnp7R51A"
Roy Clark was not only a great guitarist but he was also a first class individual. During the mid 70’s, while going to school, I tended bar at a Mexican Restaurant across the street from the Burbank Studios. Roy would frequently come in to the Restaurant to dine and when he walked through the front door I would play Malaguena on the Juke Box and turn it way up. He would always smile, stop by the bar and briefly chat.
