Did suburban women cost the Republicans the House of Representatives?
Most suburban women can be easily persuaded to vote for Democrats because they do not think seriously. Serious thinking in the political sense is concerned with where we are going as a nation, our moral values, our long-term prosperity, our security, our freedom and its inherent responsibilities. G.K. Chesterton said, “Thinking means connecting things, and stops if they cannot be connected” (Orthodoxy, 1908).
Don’t get me wrong – there are many intelligent, serious conservative women in Fairfax County (not to mention the nation as a whole), but they are sadly in the minority. From my limited and unscientific perspective, the reason most suburban women voted for Democrats can be divided into three categories:

The term arises from polling data and interviews. Their views and their behavior puts them into several categories: Women, live in suburbs as defined by Census statistical data, and affluent as defined by certain income and/or net worth categories. It turns out that less affluent suburban women are not infected by this disease. They like Trump.
Don’t take any of this personally, it’s statistics and has nothing to do with you, unless your behavior fits.

HA! HA! You can just count me as one of the “less affluent suburban women” and I guess that would go for all (or majority) of my friends also. Little did we know! Now how do my “really affluent” friends who do live in the suburbs explain why they didn’t fall for this? Why they voted for Trump and why they continue to vote Republican? Guess we’ll have to have another poll..
AND NO, I don’t run my life by polls and stats....

FWIW, I don’t want to deal with the crap they deal with. The insurance companies, kids school BS, grocery shopping, pets, Vets, cooking, proper clothing, electricians, plumbers, landscapers etc...

I don’t think anyone posting here read that article all the way through - it’s filled with more stereotypical garbage than anything that’s come along in a long, long time. And NO, polls and stats are not part of the article - just the twisted thinking of one person who apparently has an axe to grind. The least he could have done was limit it to a certain age group....not someone who was born shortly before WWII!!
Sure has to be a group of women far and away from anything I ever come in contact with. Well, that would be my choice anyway and I wouldn’t have to have anything to do with them IF they did happen to be in my environment..

I see no reference to Republican women in the suburbs. I have two nieces that are both I presume Democrats and they vote Democrat consistently and won’t even think about voting for Republican. Both of them are wealthy and well-off and educated but they don’t have the ability to think logically and reasonably and they were never taught how to do that so they vote Democrat and even are happy that the Democrats are back in charge.

In my option the AmericaThinker article by Steve Marks may have been a valid, though not conclusive argument. (Though I strongly disagree with his statement : “ ... but understanding how to achieve it is beyond their grasp. “)
Nonetheless, it is irrefutable, beyond any doubt, that much very bad, even evil, legislation has been enacted due to the ‘feelings’ vote caused by XIX.
It was ahead of its time. There should have been preliminary legislation first, guaranteeing equal rights at universities and in employment. Only then would women be qualified to vote.

Yeah, that’s one of the few ways. Maybe you can convince a few people, but most of the adults I know aren’t interested or are brainwashed by the MSM.
For example, I thought I had my wife convinced to vote for conservative candidates, but mysteriously, all the democrat candidate junk mail that comes here are addressed to my wife. Junk mail from Republican candidates are usually addressed to me. Go figure...
Not their fault, though. They grew up in a culture where you had to grab a man in order to be taken care of. Doesn’t exactly improve the brain cells.

You haven’t addressed my obvious point, but instead have completely changed your claim.
Why are they referred to as ‘suburban’? Normal is a better descriptive term.
I’ll add, as far as I’m concerned R leadership better do a 180 or we’re screwed as a country. The Democrats want to fundamentally destroy this country. And they have the help of a willing media and demographics on their side
My wife and I discuss what is going on, candidates, etc.
If suburban women are voting democrat, then husbands are, too, or are not communicating with their wives enough or are stupid, checked out, and derelict of duty. I’d say the latter. My reasoning is a bit strange, anecdotal...in my line of business, I field calls to schedule paid appointments...these appointments are for a very import and event that affects the spouses...you would think it would be a manly thing, but the women schedule this appointment 90% of the time...and even with the man in the background. Ridiculous.

I just moved to WV from NoVa, so I can’t speak for what I observe in suburban women here. The article I can say it tracks from completely (few) to partially (most) professional suburban women I know, were friends with, worked with in NoVa. All claimed to be Republicans some even claimed to be fundamentalist evangelical mostly in the 30-50 year age range. My observations tell my why it’s so hard for the GOP to win in Va. The GOP’er that appeals to them won’t have enough “leftist views” to appeal to real Rats and will be uninspiring to the western & central Va conservatives to turn them out in enough numbers to win Va.
