Sessions weighing bid to win back former Senate seat

Dumped Attorney General Jeff Sessions is weighing a bid to win back his old Senate seat in Alabama, a report said.

Sessions, fired by President Trump a day after Republicans lost control of the House in the midterm elections, left the seat in 2017 when he was nominated to head up the Justice Department.

But Sessions could run against Democrat Doug Jones, who won a special election in December 2017 to fill the seat and is up for re-election in 2020, Politico reported late Wednesday.

Yeah no.

Go away.

He’s proven what he’s made of.

I’m fine with that... Or do we think he’ll want to get back at Trump

He should do everyone a favor and just retire.

He will be the new John McCain if he goes back in

‘Cause he is going to hate Trump 24/7

He was the “insurance policy” of the left, what do you think?

He’ll be better as senator than he was as Attorney General. Plus, he’ll add another seat to the republican senate majority, if they can hold the senate in 2020..

One thing we have seen in the last two years.
Sessions has no clue what is going on in the world.
Time to pass the torch to someone younger.

Yep he was a good senator and stellar on immigration. Just a weak poor choice for AG.

He should recuse himself. If not, the voters should.

Doug Junes is the only Dem likely to lose senate seat in 2020. Maybe in NH too?

71 now, will be 73 in 2020. I get that’s not old by the usual standard of the old men we have in the Senate. But I’d love to see a good, younger man or woman get settled in there in what should be a good year (Trump’s re-election cycle).

Still, better to have a happy Jeff than an unhappy Jeff at this point. At least he’s a good vote on illegal immigration.
