I suspect that down the road well find out this guy did yeoman work. If that's true, why is he resigning at the request of the President?

Yep, same guy...
Matthew Whitaker, the former U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Iowa under President George W. Bush, said there is growing public evidence that laws were broken. "Based on what we know in the public record, I think there are some serious legal violations," said Whitaker. "There's got to be more that we don't know. I think that could be really incriminating evidence, if it's like anything we've already seen." Whitaker, who runs the Foundation for Accountability and Civic Trust, a watchdog group that has been critical of Clinton, said the decision about whether to pursue a criminal case will ultimately depend on the Department of Justice. But he said the Fox News report on Monday about expansion of the FBI investigation puts more pressure on that department to take the investigation seriously. "I think the effect is it puts some pressure on the Department of Justice to not sweep this under the rug, to otherwise ignore inconvenient facts for secretary Clinton," said Whitaker. ---- Former U.S. Attorneys Predict Criminal Charges in FBIâs Probe of Clinton Server Washington Free Beacon ^ | 1-15-16 | Alana Goodman

“Heard from Napolitano on Fox News.”
Ah...they’ve already researched this. No surprise. Trump needs to appoint a very large special counsel, himself. Headed up by Joe DiGenova. Go to town on our corrupt stasi state. It has to happen or we’re over.

I, like many others, had pretty high hopes for Sessions. Why he ended up doing nothing for so long, and allowing the continuation of criminal activities by so many actors in DC, much less what was effectively a coup against the President, is beyond me. I'd love to know, but suspect that none of us ever will. That all being said, I have only one thought about this announcement:

Well he’s on his way to the White House per Fox. For a ‘previously scheduled meeting’.

Didnt come early enough to save Pete Sessions from being ousted from his seat because people got him confused with Jeff.Apparently, where we go one Sessions, we go all Sessions.
Out the door go both.

Sheriff Joe ? Please stop nominating Sheriff Joe for anything. The man is 85 years old, and is long past his prime for any public office.
