The new Republican Party is a much, much better party than the mess Trump inherited. But it’s also marginally weaker, having lost an institutional beachhead to the socialists. It will be a chaotic two years of complete government gridlock and bitter fighting. That will reduce the MAGA gains in this next two years to some more narrow things. No Wall. No more tax cuts. No healthcare fixes, no immigration law fixes. Complete standstill and open conflict on those things.
The House is going to unload every trick and weapon at Trump...and remember, the bureaucracy in D.C. will fall in hard lockstep with the House...Trump will not even have the loyalty of the Executive Branch. This is going to be true Hell as far as governing goes.
She holds a committee chairmanship, so I doubt it.

Other than Rauner for Gov (lousy ads execpt the “gay marriage” one) and a few terrible Roskam ads mentioning Mike Madigan (State House speaker who has nothing to do with Washington) and defensive ads from Erica Harold there and were no GOP ads in this state. Rats ads were constant. I’m afraid to look at the state leg results. The past week there have been spam ads for dems running for state leg in GOP/Hillary districts.
TV matters. Older people, the most reliable voters watch tv, we need money for TV ads. Money matters, a lot. A lot. Rich RINO scum donors hating our President is an issue. Small donors the answer ala Sanders?

That would get Republicans to 52. If we can hold Arizona and Nevada, that is 54. My guess is the other Mississippi seat would have a runoff, which would get Republicans to 55. If we can flip Montana, 56 could be the final number. That would be a heck of number.
