I am terrified.
I am a citizen by birth of the United States, an activist, a writer, a Boston Red Sox fan.
I am also transgender.
And as a transgender person, I'm terrified. I'm terrified because my country's government is proposing to erase my existence.
We recently learned of the Trump administration's proposed definition of gender a proposal that would exclude trans people from federal recognition, and potentially many civil rights protections.
This definition could have severe consequences. Under this definition, I could be denied access to the medication I need. I could be denied housing and work, and discriminated against legally based on the fact that my gender does not match the "F" on my passport.

We need more mental hospitals.
Incessant whining from a yellow snowflake.
“transgender person”?
No such thing in Nature.
Let’s settle this real quick:
Look in your pants.
Got “junk”?
YOU’RE A MAN.
No “junk”?
YOU’RE A WOMAN.
SAM, put on a MAN’S clothes, get a real job, and quit your homo whining.
Case closed.
What a drama queen
But, play boy games in the girls room while one of our daughters, grand daughters or wives is in there, we will definitely ‘cure” you
Nonsense, one highly suspects.
One suspects that you need to manufacture fictional victimhood to scare up some interest in your activist writing.
I can't think of anyone who gives a darn about your gender confusion or your choices. You are a victim only of bad publicity stunting.
She literally thinks Trump will make her dissolve. That would be an accomplishment, indeed.
The medication she needs is not the testosterone shes taking but meds to help with her delusion
Looking at this story on its CBC page, I’m struck by the way the CBC is publishing stories that look like they’re selected by the editor of a typical undergraduate-level campus newspaper at a somewhat better-than-average American college.
It seems to be wall-to-wall virtue signaling. Do typical Canadians actually spend their time thinking and worrying about things like this? Or has their media isolated itself in an even tinier, more well-insulated bubble than ours has?
Of course, they can afford to, because they’re funded by the Canadian government. They don’t have to answer to advertisers or the public.
“Nonsense. Your country’s government is proposing to quit pandering to your delusions.”
Bears repeating.
Yes, stay where you are.
Obviously needs to visit the transmission shop that advertised that it could “put in condition the worst transmission in town.” Because this Tranny has an obvious malfunction.
God has not given you that spirit of fear...2 Timothy 1:7
Why do they twist the conversation around to make it as though someone was taking his "rights" away? What he is actually bitching about is that he is not being given special rights, above and beyond what everyone else has.
What do you call a carbohydrate who thinks it’s a fat?
Its refreshing to not see the race card played in every instance.
“TransNPC can’t parade in front of kids because orange man bad.”
The author is quite.. er.. hand wringing there.
