President Trump will make brief remarks on the illegal immigration crisis and give an update on border security today in the Roosevelt Room at 4:15pm says White House press secretary Sarah Sanders according to multiple resources. This is apparently the announcement previously anticipated on Tuesday.
Will today's announcement and update include an executive order? Clarity on plans to stop ongoing catch-and-release or prevent 97% of this latest group from ending up in our cities and on our streets? What about the 1,500-2,500 already arriving each week?
Excerpt: "President Donald Trump is expected to announce on Thursday his plans to automatically deny asylum to migrants who try to enter the U.S. illegally between ports of entry — part of his latest election-season response to caravans heading toward the border.
"It was unclear whether the restrictions Trump was expected to propose would apply only to those traveling in the caravans or extend to all people trying to enter the country. And it also was unclear whether Trump has the legal authority to change the rules.
My guess is it will be great.:)

Great proposals, except for the 25 year halt to legal immigration.
Quality matters.
If we can make good quality cuts, merit-based immigration has great benefits. We can recruit the world’s best onto our team.
Also, Christians-only would miss out on a lot of talent. It is really just muslims that pose large security/cultural risks. A preference for Christians, and special screens/restrictions for muslims would be more manageable.
