I, too, was not on board from the very start, BUT - I have been saying for DECADES that America NEEDS to be run like a Business!
All of our Founding Fathers were ‘Businessmen’ in one form or another...Farmers, Lawyers, Inventors, Merchants, Physicians, Authors, Ministers, Military Men, etc.

Probably best to have well trained snipers pick a few shots if needed, rather than every Joe having weapons free, but it is great to have top cover like that, if you do need to get yourself or your buddy out of a tight spot.
The mob can’t easily drive soldiers from their positions under those rules. The troops will have the ability to hold their line.

What the Israelis have done with a mob on their border, is have expert sniper teams pick the shots, when they need to return fire. The sniper teams can be on the radio with an officer who is managing the situation, and with Military Intelligence, who can identify individuals in the crowd through facial recognition and access to huge databases.
Intelligence assets can infiltrate the caravan and start identifying the dangerous individuals now, for close monitoring/tracking at the border. Give them each a threat score, so the call can be made quickly. If a known bad guy/ringleader throws a rock, one strike and he’s out. If an unknown fourteen year old follows a bad example, maybe you give him a warning shot or wing him instead.
You won’t have to shoot very many, before none dare pick up a rock. Maybe just tell them over a loudspeaker.
It isn’t just that the countries they come from are poor. The countries are chaotic, because they are overpopulated and the economies and the resources can’t keep up with the ever-expanding numbers of people. The result is gangs and other crime and everyone running for the border.
Mexico should be stopping this. They are letting these people proceed on buses and on foot. The trade deal needs to be pulled. More evidence Mexico is not a real nation just a failed narco cluster of losers
Laughing my a** off as I watched Jake Tapper on CNN: They decided to carry the President’s 45-minute speech on immigration & border security because, according to Jake: “We were told by the WH that he was going to deliver a plan. We were lied to by this WH, as they often do, and he basically delivered the same speech that he gives at his rallies!” Meanwhile, I’m GIDDY because A) He gave a speech carried by all networks and seen all over the world, including airports, and, B) We’re 5 days away from the Midterms! LOL at Fake Jake!
The dims have long thought that immigration was a winning issue for them. They think they can force Trump to compromise in that “no new taxes” kind of way, which would hurt GOP voter turnout. Looks like they were wrong.

Israel does it right. We should learn from them. I don’t look for people to be hurt, but I definitely don’t want our protectors — soldiers, border patrol, etc. — to be hurt and not be able to defend themselves.
