These people were lied to in a series of ads in their home countries saying “Show up, you get jobs and welfare, and you can bring in your family.”
We need counter-campaigns to educate them. No, we don’t want you. Yes, we can and will stop you. You will not get amnesty.
I think it will definitely get their attention.
It will put an end to foreign financing. Or at least exact a severe price for doing so.
I’m just waiting for the President’s call. :)
Trump does not have the support of the Republican Congress to create new laws that will allow us to repeal the borders. And the Communists Democrats have been sporting open borders and have been in the way for many years. Remember King Obama?. The cards are stacked against Trump from doing anything. Thousands will be on the catch and release program. We have by estimate 33 million illegals here now and of that only 2 percent ever meet their court appointment.
One of Trump’s best ideas was to pressure Mexico. After the Mexicans failed to stop entry into Mexico, as instructed, they felt the need to offer asylum in Mexico to all who qualified. Of course, few if any, took Mexico up on this offer.
Because of this offer, there is not ONE person in that caravan who qualifies for US asylum. Either they failed to qualify for asylum in Mexico, or they refused asylum in Mexico. By definition, they are all merely economic immigrants, who can apply for legal entry into the US while in Mexico.
The Mexicans are going to rue the day they let these people into their country, because I think they are stuck with them.

It wasn’t mentioned in this briefing but I’ve seen it mentioned in other briefings - Walls are a “force multiplier” - allows you to do more with fewer troops. I guarantee you this is where this is going ... Trump is slowly going to build up the troops on the border. This is like ‘porch light and moths’ to leftist mobs. Not only will we get a wall, but we will win in 2018 AND 2020.

Several in interviews were asked how they learned of this caravan...usually all said TV or radio. Te countries are’t going to stop them...the less people the less expenditures.
These invaders are not going to stop!!! I’m sorry it’s come to this, but President Trump is correct in directing OVERWHELMING superior firepower and manpower to stop this illegal invasion of our country.
There is no longer any excuse for these caravans to try to enter our country illegally, seeking “asylum.” They have already reached their “first safe country”, and Mexico has offered all of them asylum and employment. Anyone now claiming asylum should not expect it from the U.S., they already have asylum from Mexico.
I hope that the few mothers with children in the caravan will use common sense and drop out. It is too dangerous for them and their children to continue on. They have asylum, employment, and other care and feeding through Mexico.
I don’t have much sympathy for the combative young men who are saying “Screw you, United States, we’re coming to your country whether you like it or not.” May they all get hung up on concertina wire as they try to break into our country!!!

No matter what they do or say, the Dems are going to come out stupid on an immigration stance. And it’s going to drive Republicans to the polls....and Dems will sit it out....cuz they know we can’t accept Caravans of people.

The Mexicans know they are being used (and I think you will find not only Venezuela, but the fine hand of Castro behind this). They’ve been trying to keep Central Americans out for years, because the last thing Mexico needs is more impoverished or even criminal people. A Guatemalan was shot today when he attacked the Mexican police who were trying to keep him from crossing into Mexico.
And, btw, Honduras’ New conservative government has already offered the Hondurans jobs and relocation within the country, but almost nobody accepted it. So this has nothing to do with reality and is entirely a political attack by the radical left, using these dumb people as their weapon.
The two items you mentioned would do it. Telling mexico the new nafta deal is dead until they start taking our border seriously would do it. Then there is shooting those who attempt to sneak in. Those are solutions short of a wall that will stop this.
This is one of the big reasons we voted for Mr. Trump. This is why he jumped to head of the pack and stayed there in the 2016 campaign IMHO.
I know I'm in a bad mood today but stop dickin around and do what it takes to secure the border - yesterday. Putting troops on the border who can't use weapons and lethal force seems like we're the UN all of sudden. I'm not sure that is the case but I'd be willing to bet the military can't shoot the invaders because of some dumb ass reason.
People south of the border need to understand sneaking in the US is a good way to end up dead.
Also whats the crap about US having to follow the our laws about them needing to be processed if they get a foot on American soil. The law isn't a suicide pact invaders get to use against this nation. Cross that line and end up dead men women and children no exceptions - that would solve the problem.

This jump starts the immigration issue and allows Trump to militarize the border without Congress getting involved by declaring a National Security emergency.
