The Campbell Soup lobbyist who said George Soros' foundation was assisting a caravan of migrants bound for the United States is no longer with the company.
Kelly Johnston, formerly Campbell's vice president of government affairs, tweeted on Monday that the Open Society Foundations arranged for "troop carriers" and "rail cars" to support the caravan, which formed earlier this month in Central America. Johnston has since deleted his Twitter account.
Campbell and Johnston had discussed his leaving over the summer, the company said on Saturday. Johnston was scheduled to leave in November, but the tweet sped up his exit.
"In the last few days, the company and Mr. Johnston have agreed that under the current circumstances it would be best to accelerate the timing of his departure," a company spokesperson told CNN Business. Thursday was his last day.

That’s pretty cynical too. As if nothing “better” (by whatever metric) could be had.

Truly!
Should be a 10 year felony!
I make the same taco soup but with 1 can of diced tomatoes, no ranch or beef broth or rotel. I add a can of tomato sauce.
Tortilla chips, cheese, and green onions and yes, hot sauce.
Conservatives risk losing their jobs for having an opinion in the public sphere. Liberals can have any whacky opinion they wish in your face and they know it.
I don’t need your advice on what or what not to stay focused on. In fact, I don’t need your advice for anything.
Oooh...good luck with that SQUIRREL soup.
Take care.
“his is why the left wins. They dox and harass people until they lose their jobs, homes, and their livelihoods.”
and they are so upset when someone like Trump fights back.
They’ve often said that Campbell knows how to can salt.
Guess I won’t buy low quality Campbell’s soup. But they won’t notice. I haven’t bought they’re watered down stuff for years.
Should everyone send you their comments prior to posting to ensure it meets your approval? I'd hate to post something that would have a negative impact on American history and the dire importance of this topic.☺
Dang! I was going to consider giving you my 1998 BMW 2.8L convertible Z3 Roadster (130K)- looks brand new - but you couldn't take it in good conscience. Guess I'll have to just grit my teeth and keep it. ;-)
I'd had at least 5 Toshiba laptops but when it was last time to upgrade I remembered how the japs had helped the ruskies with improved silent props for their subs so I bought an HP.
Sucked from day one with endless problems including randomly failing on windows updates and a USB host controller diagnosed as failed two weeks after extended wtty expired even though "we" were trying to figure out why the new web cam wouldn't work within the wtty period. They offered me a $50 coupon for another HP.
Their printers and drivers are even worse.
So next upgrade will likely be a Toshiba.
Solid machines, few glitches, and superior tech support.
Go ahead and stick it to Campbells - buy Progresso - much better instant meal in a can. IMHO.
Sorry - Still have the HP "Envy" ... just trying to save some soul from the aggravation of HP's inferior products except for their 12C calculator of course. ;-)
Except for a few emergency cans here and there I had stopped buying at some point in the 90s because they dropped almost all of the flavors worth keeping. I didnt quit buying so much as they fired me as a customer.
but see, you obviously place no value on self esteem. Self esteem gained by not buying you that which cannot afford has value beyond measure /s
MASA!..... Cue the little “ Thas racist” guy.
Much of that crappiness appeared a in the relatively recent past (10?) when the straw that broke the camels back was the bs campaign they came up with to save money and claimed that the new formulations was to make it more”like mpms”. Poor cover for screwing the consumer and no, my mother was mever that bad of a cook.
I used to know Kelly years ago -- not well, but enough to know he was a pretty good shortstop and all-around good guy. Our paths then diverged and we lost touch. Very conservative, though I'm sure he's been doing corpspeak as a second language. He's probably glad to be done with that. I was surprised to see he was still working.
Truth will accelerate the timing of a departure no wonder why things are like they are pussy footers in snow flake land.
Yep. The whole anti-Semite thing is going to be hard for them to keep pushing...

Yet another company to boycott. At least this one will be easy because I’m not a big fan of soup, especially Campbell’s.
When I do make soup, I make it in the Vitamix and it’s quick and easy to make.
My favorites are Broccoli and Cheese soup and Taco soup. Much better tasting than canned soup and with less carbs.
They been in a “stew” for quite a while...no Campbell soup for us....
