As noted in an earlier thread on the topic, in my opinion, this is a pathetic joke that will, like last time, simply result in 97% of the border crossers getting caught-and-released. This is not what was promised!!! Put thousands on the border, close and secure it!!!

80,000 would be more like it and much safer.
With only 800 it is worth their risk to crash the border.
With 80,000 it would be an insurmountable force.
The 800 is just an advance party to prepare for the deployment of many thousands more troops, likely 8-10K.
They should send all the JAG officers the can find and make them Administrative Judges to help with the claims. If they are denied load them up on a plane and when it’s full fly them home (after they have been photographed and fingerprinted)

The ones returning to their country o the buses are primarily women with children who are getting sick...and other adults sick or exhausted.

I'll be surprised if all this isn't just for show. Best case scenario is that the invaders are simply intimidated into doing a 180 and going back to wherever they came from. Maybe that's the plan.

Take a LOOK at the type people being SENT NOT PEOPLE TO REPEL A INVADING HOARD. Doctors, Lawyers, Engineers, unless those Engineers are going to blow the bridge, why do you need them? Doctors and JAG officers don’t fight on a battle field.

800 is a joke. There should be at least 2 troops for every invader.
If you put too few troops then the potential that they will have to use deadly force to defend themselves increases exponentially.
The mob could attack the troops with rocks or bottles or even bullets and if the troops fire back it will be a propaganda disaster.
Make sure that there is no possibility that the troops will need to use deadly force. The only way to do that is to have an overwhelming number of troops ready to do what is necessary to prevent any invasion.

will they be armed? saw yesterday on here where somebody was sending troops ‘mostly unarmed’. Fat lot of good that will do.
