The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has hurt itself badly with the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, and its serial explanations are compounding the damage. President Trump will lose control of the Saudi-U.S. relationship if he doesnt speak truth to these Saudi abuses and to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the 33-year-old power in front of the throne.
The most complete Saudi statement, issued late Friday night, at least admits that Khashoggi was killed in its Istanbul consulate at the hands of Saudi agents. But the story that Khashoggi was killed in a fight and a quarrel isnt credible on its face. The brawl aggravated to lead to his death and their attempt to conceal and cover what happened, said the Saudi statement. That must have been some lopsided brawl with a 59-year-old journalist confronting multiple security agents, as if he were Liam Neeson in Taken.
The story is contradicted by information leaked by Turkish officials who say Khashoggi was killed quickly and dismembered on the scene. The Saudis still havent produced Khashoggis body, or provided more details of precisely how or when he died.
The fight story also conveniently lays blame on lower-ranking officials while effectively absolving members of the royal family, especially the Crown Prince known as MBS. The Saudis say theyve arrested 18 officials and sacked five others. Several are part of MBSs inner circle, and its unlikely they would have acted without at least the tacit assent of the Crown Prince. Khashoggi, who had a wide following in the Middle East, had criticized the Crown Prince for his authoritarian tactics in trying to reform the Kingdom.
On Sunday Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir called it a rogue operation that neither MBS nor the senior leadership of our intelligence service was aware of.

Obama had Khadaffi assassinated and no one said boo.
Do I care? No.
Only the fake news media is obsessed over a dead Arab and theyre beating a dead horse.
Not Americas problem.
The alliance is not in danger.
There are no “requirements” for the Saudis.
The truth about killing terrorists does not matter.
FAKE NEWS
Yeah, you “journalists” should worry about this. Frankly, most of us don’t care about this and see it a typical behavior for a people who attend public stonings and beheadings. Saudi can piss up a rope for all I care.
This article is from the Wall Street Journal so there’s probably a hidden agenda.
Nobody cares about Khashoggi.
By “truth”, they mean admitting everything the media accuses them of, of course.
And with this latest screed, the WSJ has made the word “journalist” synonymous with “terrorist.” That amuses me but doesn’t surprise.
When the low-IQ propaganda press steps in a pile of crap, they step in with both feet.
Trump needs to explain to the Saudis that it’s not like we care if they killed the guy but just be decent about it and use a silenced .22 for God’s sake instead of making a freaking Quentin Tarantino movie out of it.
Saudi terrorists killed thousands on 9/11 and that didn’t require “saving the alliance”. There is no chance that this incident will require saving the alliance.
Just say the Journalist was a Muslim Brotherhood spy for Iran and he was a “Journalist” as a cover for his spy work and the interrogation went bad
Muslims kill each other. That’s what they do. You can save money on Geico. Buffet loves you guys.
Amazing how wonderfully stupid the Never Trumpers, the clowns in Conservative Inc and the Leftists are.
Really stupid for any US Citizen to be actively pushing this Russian/Iran propaganda line.
..the same people saying Khashoggi was only a journalist who was murdered by MbS, believe Paddock was a disturbed lone gunman in a hotel room—come on...
A man asked this question:
Did NOT MbS come out of that ^large and in charge^.
And the wise man answered him;
Absolutely he did. That was when the Trump backed MbS took over and purged the bad raggedys. He missed one, and suckered this current raggedy into exposing himself, and the poor guy got Luca Brasi'd. Too bad, so sad.
The derps are now pissed that their derp raggedy soldier got whacked out and are using the incident as a tool to try to take back the all important third leg of their power/financial backing.
They also wanna take down MbS as he and the new Trump ally Saudi are messing up their Caliphating of the middle east. This Kashoggi (sp?) thing really IS a big deal, just not in the way the derps would have us believe.

p.s. Anybody that buys into the derp version of this or wants to take Kashoggi (sp?) out over this, or "punish " Saudi, is either the enemy, ignorant, or stupid. And that includes Rinos like [Linda].

THE PRESS has made a point of telling us that illegals 'don't kill and rape' more Americans than 'home grown' Americans. So Americans death's are 'no big deal' to the 'elites'...
It's a numbers game.
To THE PRESS I'd like to point out that fewer American journalists are murdered than journalists from foreign countries.
So journalists Jamal Khashoggi's death is statistically meaningless - all these sob stories about him are a waste of newsprint. No sob stories for Americans? No sob stories for journalists...
When the Wall Street Journal and Washington Post give a damn about American citizens murdered by illegals, we'll give a damn about one journalist murdered... Until then drop the drama...
Thank you WSJ for telling me about what I am supposed to care about. How would I ever get along?
Fake news going hysterical as pay back to Trump on trashing the loser Iran deal.
One pro- Bin Laden journalist, and they are going on and on like the Kennedy Assassination.
Enough already.
There was someone on radio bringing up the missing 26 pages, and Saudi involvement in 9/11. Now that is interesting, but again Obama buried that! Trail ran cold.
