That was quick.

President Trump's vow to cut off all aid to Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador has gotten the attention of at least some of those countries' elites, who are moving to stop the caravan. According to Reuters:

WASHINGTON/ESQUIPULAS, Guatemala (Reuters) – The organizer of a migrant caravan from Honduras was detained in Guatemala on Tuesday as the U.S. government threatened to withdraw aid from both countries and El Salvador if the flow of migrants north to the United States was not stopped.

Apparently, they believe him. Someone must have been on the phone with the Palestinian Authority.

An incurious press has declined to report on who is financing the caravan or its leader who got detained, or why those migrants in the photos have such new-looking clothes, for that matter, but in the past, such caravans were bankrolled by George Soros-financed front groups and actually called the "Soros Express."

I've traveled down there and the political elites live within high wall, secured communities in what would only be considered above median homes in Denver. They are extremely vulnerable and protection doesn't come cheaply.

I, DONALD J. TRUMP, President of the United States of America, find that the prevalence and severity of human rights abuse and corruption that have their source, in whole or in substantial part, outside the United States, such as those committed or directed by persons listed in the Annex to this order, have reached such scope and gravity that they threaten the stability of international political and economic systems. Human rights abuse and corruption undermine the values that form an essential foundation of stable, secure, and functioning societies; have devastating impacts on individuals; weaken democratic institutions; degrade the rule of law; perpetuate violent conflicts; facilitate the activities of dangerous persons; and undermine economic markets. These countries have a very small number of intelligent and adequately trained and educated people and that means there are simply not enough high functioning and competent people to keep their countries running properly

This is especially true in Africa.

In the 1960s and 70s enormous effort was made to educate and train native Africans to form a nucleus of a technical and managerial talent to replace the exiting colonial being forced to leave after the ex colonial countries were given independence

This group of people was almost totally wiped out by African AIDS epidemic and Africa has never recovered

I've traveled down there and the political elites live within high wall, secured communities in what would only be considered above median homes in Denver. They are extremely vulnerable and protection doesn't come cheaply.

If we target 'the elites' for financial ruin - after all the crap they've given their citizens AND US over the years - it won't be pretty. But I'm damn sick of taking the spill-over of their corruption and greed. They can reform their hellholes or deal with their angry citizens 'cause we're NOT taking them anymore. In that sense you really have to give it to India. They have managed to do a pretty decent job educating a wide swath of their population, including women. It's one reason they are able to maintain a stable democracy as compared to African or Latin American countries.

I'm fascinated by what causes civilization and what destroys it. Take that time in Europe between the Fall of the Roman Empire (actually a multi-tiered effect of the collapse of Roman domination) and the Battle of Hastings, which is when Europe began looking like the Europe we knew until the EU. In many places, it took about two generations before the skills to maintain civilization unraveled. The Caribbean and Africa have shown no talent for maintaining the imposed western culture. Mideast stability without a firm hand is not possible. Afghanistan and Pakistan?....it would make more sense to keep the nutcases locked in their country than trying to westernize them.

It's interesting to delve into. Globalism cannot thrive unless cultural identities are erased. It's that whole darn Illuminati thing. I do believe in that conspiracy; there are those who see benefit for their inner circle to erasing the identity and initiative of everyone else.
