Former Attorney General Eric Holder said at a recent campaign event that when Republicans "go low," Democrats should "kick them" in response, video that surfaced Wednesday shows.
Holder, while campaigning for Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams (D), said that it's time for Democrats to be as "tough," "dedicated" and "committed" as Republicans are.
"Michelle (Obama) always says, When they go low, we go high. No. When they go low, we kick them. Thats what this new Democratic Party is about," he said.
Holder, who has said he is interested in a possible 2020 White House bid, also said that Republicans have used their power "for all the wrong things."
Theyve tried to racial gerrymander, theyve tried to partisan gerrymander. ... They want to keep themselves in power. They want to cater to the special interests, Holder said.
"Were in this to win," he added. "And the reality is if we dont win, people who are less committed, less idealistic, less imbued with the values that make this nation really great will run this country.
Representatives for Holder did not immediately return a request for comment from The Hill.
Holder's comments surfaced one day after Hillary Clinton dismissed the idea of civility between Democrats and Republicans, saying that "you cannot be civil with" the Republican Party because it "wants to destroy what you stand for, what you care about."
"If we are fortunate enough to win back the House and or the Senate, that's when civility can start again. But until then, the only thing that the Republicans seem to recognize and respect is strength," Clinton said in an interview with CNN.
I saw what you did there.....
Eric needs to take a lap at the Gitmo pen.
Perhaps, Eric can take a tour in Mexico and demonstrate the social success of “fast & furious.”
Where was the AG and what was the the DOJ doing or even saying when black gang members were assaulting and killing non blacks “for Trayvon” after the Zimmerman trial ?
Let's count the states with the most vote fraud due to no photo ID.
30 days from today after Trump fires the sleepy elf, Eric Holder will be very afraid.
Very afraid.
” Eric Holder will be very afraid.”
No he won’t ———he’s untouchable,just like Obama.
.
Its it time to "Lock & Load" yet..???
Eric “Pot” Holder might run for president? How many does that make so far? Can’t wait to see the debate stage. What will these clowns talk about? I can only envision an auction, where each tries to outbid the others on how much taxpayers’ $$ they can spend on free stuff for the free loaders. They don’t have anything else for the future of the country.
Bring it on Eric! Let’s see how bad you are now that u cant hide behind AG title anymore.
To the Left, I dare you.
That S.O.B. should be in jail.
‘If they bring a foot to the fight, we bring a body slam’.
we start at to bottom and work our way up
Betcha he kicks like a 3 year old.
When they go low, we go high ROFLOL, as if anyone ever believed that!
Eric is clearly the angriest man in America. May his hate cause him a massive stroke or heart attack.
Holder and his ilk want to kick and I counter that our 2A negates their boot and we will shove it up their Obama.
No kidding. The trouble for them is, they don’t have anything better.
You watch — at the last possible instant, they’ll insert oprah. No one can attack her policies; she has none. No one can make fun of her; she’s black, a woman, she can emote on cue, including tears, and to all psychobabblers across this land (and there are WAY too many of them), she is a goddess.
They call our people “monsters”, and we call their “monsters” people.
Brett Kavanaugh was an innocent man, and look what they did to him.
Ah yes, the BEST WAHMEN RESPECTER IN THE WORLD
But I think calling this soyboy a "man" is an overstatement.
The supreme example of this is Trent Lott groveling, flagellating himself, and begging on his knees for forgiveness on BET, for an allegedly racially insensitive remark made at Strom Thurmond's 100th birthday party. And then falling on his sword by giving up the Senate Majority leader post.
It was one of the cringeworthy-est GOP performances ever seen.
