God is merciful. Push that eye 100 miles east or 100 miles west at landfall and you’d have far worse damage than what is expected to happen. Sucks if that puts the storm right in your path. My sister in Alabama had Hurricane Ivan’s eye pass right over her house about 30 miles inland from shore - it knocked down all the fences and her chimney plus tore off a section of her roof but they rebuilt. My younger brother settled into Pensacola just blocks from the coast. This will be a rough storm but God shows his mercy even in times of disaster.

...POTENTIALLY CATASTROPHIC HURRICANE MICHAEL HEADING TOWARD THE
FLORIDA PANHANDLE...
...LIFE-THREATENING STORM SURGE...HURRICANE FORCE WINDS...AND HEAVY
RAINFALL IMMINENT...
SUMMARY OF 700 AM CDT...1200 UTC...INFORMATION
Right now ........ that EYE looks like an EVIL EYE.
Is anyone on here from Apalachicola? We evacuated but would like to get live updates if possible. Thank you.
NautiNurse.... we live in the Atlanta metro area ..... Georgia is going to get hit.....
Originally, it was to track just south of Macon GA as a TS......
Now they are stating it will be a Class 1.....
Since the storm hasnt made the predicted NE turn as of yet.... do you know if the storm is now going to track further north? If so, That would greatly impact the greater ATL area.....
Prayers for all in harm’s way.
$10 Billion in air force planes at Little Rock AFB, Adams Field (LIT), and Barksdale AFB. Poor pilots had to catch a LRAFB C130 back to their base to ferry more planes. More planes than pilots on short notice.
mikebettes 55m55 minutes ago More So, change of plans. Wx is too bad to drive now. Our crew will be staying put in Apalachicola. We have sturdy shelter, are a good distance from the water, and have a lot of supplies. Landfall just hours from now. 0:08 71 replies 121 retweets 282 likes Reply 71 Retweet 121 Like 282 _______________________________________

Better safe than sorry. #Michael 90 replies 285 retweets 1,108 likes Reply 90 Retweet 285 Like 1.1K

Media is absolutely giddy. A hurricane during the day! Fearmongering live, in daylight. (Yes, guess sarcasm intended.)
Having recently gone through the devastating effects of hurricane Florence as a Cat 2, my heart breaks for the people in the Panhandle of Florida who are facing this monster storm as a Cat 4.
Needless to say, I’m praying for them.
Looks like right on course for Tyndall and Mexico Beach
Flat
Anyone who is a FRper who lives in Navarre,FL,and this includes both people and animals,my older sister, nil, and cats used to live. My PRAYERS go with you. God Bless.

Looters and burglaries already? I am streaming Weather Channel and others on my computer and a few minutes ago, while the reporter is talking a group of what appears to be young men with bags head up between the apartment buildings, like looking for way in.
Any reports about St. George’s Island? Most beautiful beaches I’ve ever seen. Love Mexico Beach as well. Also, I went to Ocean springs, MS right after Katrina to take care packages. It was really bad there.
Prayers UP for everyone living in the Florida Panhandle..but damn I haven’t seen Shepard Smith this excited in a long time..I think he has named every city in Northern Florida and Georgia
