He couldn’t do anything else. West Virginian Democrats are old-school New Deal Democrats; populist, union, socially conservative mountain people. Trump is putting WV back to work and if Manchin gets in the way of that train he’ll get run over. West Virginian Democrats are exactly the type of Democrat voter that Trump resonates with.

Exactly! This decision should have been easy for him a long time ago. Even though his voters overwhelmingly supported Kavanaugh, he put them through the agony of his indecisiveness and commitment to the Constitution.
1) Too late for that. The election is a month away.
2) That scumbag would just be another McCain. If he does, I’ll vote against him in the primary and vote Constitution Party in the general if he gets nominated. He’s that bad.
