FWIW, this was in Holyoke.
* Holyoke was one of the richest communities in the nation in the 1800's maybe early 1900's aka textile mills.
* Fell on hard times.
* Got the nickname Holysmokes after all the fires in the 70's hmmm....
* Amazing old Victorian homes, some still survive.
* Some smart folks brought up the old factories etc and converted them, I don't know how many were torn down frankly.
* Would have been a car guys dream hideout for his collection ( American Pickers found a couple of guys that did that with their Indian Motorcycles in Holyoke ).
But the kicker is this is just south of the 5 college community; UMass, Amherst; Hampshire, Smith and Mount Holyoke. This is her base folks, you are not going to get any more progressive than this....
