Predictions and Observations on How the Coming Week Will Play Out for the Kavanaugh Confirmation
spector.org ^ | Dov Fischer

In the end, Democrat totalitarianism will be warded off and there’ll be only one Senate RINO left.

I begin by sharing forthrightly my abject disgust over everything I have seen play out since the President nominated Judge Brett Kavanaugh to succeed Justice Anthony Kennedy to the High Court.

I am disgusted by the Democrats and The Resistance. I am not disgusted that their political views differ from my deeply conservative views. That is politics, and that is fair. We do not live in the Soviet Union, China, Venezuela, or in any of the 23-plus Arab Muslim countries — worlds where there is no honest democracy. We live in the United States. In this country, it is to be expected that people will differ. Even a 55%-45% electoral victory in America is deemed a veritable landslide. When the divide is 60% to 40%, it is anepiclandslide. That means that, for every majority viewpoint, at least two-fifths of the people will see things differently. So I am not disgusted that Democrats disagree with my conservative world view.

Only God knows. But we must be vigilant in prayer.

Unceasing.
Unrelenting.

We can’t let Satan win this. Far too much at stake.

Rats will come out with a moral victory just like Clarence Thomas when the GOP considers the battle over right after the nomination.

I don’t think the American people were praying as much as they are now. What Kavanaugh has had to deal with is even worse.

Kavanaugh will get confirmed and the Dems will suffer the consequences at the ballot box in November.

However, the confirmation process will be permanently broken.

I’m pretty sure Flake is a no vote, so we have to have both abortion sisters or at least one of them and Manchin.
And then Pence can break the tie.

You are so right.

Rev. Franklin Graham said our nation is lost unless we turn to God.
Always true and today even more urgent.

Would like to see Trump send up a woman next time. That would reset the bar as to what's allowed in and what's too "insensitive" to ask. Then he can send up another male who can rightly claim sexism if these brainless fossils start asking about his high school yearbook.

Confirmed and sworn in to the great gnashing and wailing of pink, pussy headed morons who think the steps of the Capitol, LA and Manhattan comprise the entire US.

I’m going back to Europe for a rest when this is over. At least there I can be a spectator of idiocy and not vested in it.

“Rats will come out with a moral victory”

When Kav is seated on the SC, they can take their moral victory and buy a donut and coffee with it - if they also have five bucks to go along with the moral victory.

IF RBG assumes room temperature, these ‘hearings’ will look like a Sunday afternoon ice cream social compared to what the next nominee will face....................................

FBI interviews, therapist notes and Ms. Ford’s social media content all show she was assaulted two years later by someone else. Blue wave washes out.

Sincerely believe that Kavanaugh will be saved by the Democrats own internal polling data. American women are disgusted by this Democratic charade meant to destroy the life, career and family of a decent Christian man. Today Trump eviscerated Feinstein, Blumenthal and Booker. Any Senator that is running for reelection and is judged to malign Kavanaugh will suffer as well.

You are a gentleman. Definitely much nicer than I am.

I would have said something I would be sorry about later.

I think he's saving her for when Ginsburg croaks. Democrats have some kind of crazy notion that a woman MUST be replaced with another woman.

I hope that the Republicans decide that in the future there will be no more Judiciary Committee hearings on SC nominations. It isn’t Constitutionally mandated, and it has clearly become a circus. It, more than anything else, has become responsible for the 3+ months that it seems is necessary to confirm a person who has already been confirmed for high judicial office in the past (they ALL have been, sometimes multiple times when state appointments are considered). Get rid of it, open up the Advice and Consent function for a 2-day debate on the Senate floor, and be done with it.
