Is it just me or did you notice a huge disconnect between Dr. Christine Blasey Ford’s older appearance and the baby-like quality of her voice and presentation?
The juxtaposition was hard to miss.
I am not trying to shame her, but she looks exceedingly older for her age than one would expect. Sometimes time isn't kind to us, but the mismatch between her inner world and her outer self is a huge discrepancy.
For a woman who was by her account in a stressful situation in the hearing room, as she said “terrified,” she seemed to be all smiles and enjoying the doting attention of the men and women around her, whether her handlers or others.
Although she spoke with a teeny tiny baby voice, her eyes were blank and staring into space virtually expressionless. Her glasses seemed to be like props. Deliberately oversized as if to somehow emphasize she was in possession of high intellect. Or at least that was the vibe that I got. It didn't sell me.
She seemed highly agitated and irritated. I found her painful to watch and listen to because the way she presented herself was so at odds with the level of maturity I expected from a woman of 51. Everything about her seemed inauthentic. The looks didn't match the voice, didn't match the eyes, didn't match the glasses. Her periodic joyous smiles at all the attention she was receiving seemed inappropriate. And no matter how many times she swigged down that Coke, I couldn't help but thinking she wasn't the "real thing".
Perhaps because she wasn't.

Thankfully, it appears that this entire line of BS failed. I’m not sure if she was abused at some point, and it is entirely possible that she was - and for that, any person must have some sympathy. But I am equally sure that IF such happened to her, Brett Kavanaugh was NOT the guy who did it.
The Dims want to hold off the confirmation because a confused 15 year old who has no witnesses, doesn’t know how she got there, lied about overhearing conversations, can’t remember how she got home, said her best friend is lying about not knowing about the party, lied about her fear of flying, lied about not knowing an offer was made to come to her, didn’t know who paid for her lie detector test and has multiple GoFundMe pages but doesn’t know how to use them:-)
And, she claims to be a PhD who knows nothing of polygraphs.
I have known these people too. Your description is classic and when you recall her students’ and co workers’ observations, it is all in keeping with this assessment.

I think she wanted to appear disheveled, just like she wanted to sound young, unsure, and frightened, all to make it seem like she had just escaped from the attempted rape.
What keeps coming to my mind is the video clip I recently watched of Elizabeth Smart describing how she, as a young teen, went into the courtroom to face the man who had kidnapped and raped her for months. She is far more poised and mentally healthy after a much greater, long-lasting trauma. I believe she was mentally healthier even as a teen facing her abductor much closer to the horrible event.
I’m sure that different things like personality and the way you were raised, and so on account for some of that but, wow! To be so traumatized by something so fleeting, is strange.

I am with you, JudyinCanada. I made up my mind about her authenticity after her opening statement and became 100% sure that her act was fake after the questions began. The left preys on the weak. They love victims and want to convince as many as possible to become victims so they can be used as political pawns. The #MeToo movement has just taken a big hit through Christine Ford and her handlers. I would say, so much so, that this year may become the year of the man. Real women, who are real Mothers, who love their men, have had it with these cruel, irrational and power hungry women. I hope every conservative Independent, every Republican, and every Conservative Democrat will go the polls in November. The left needs to be sent a strong message that the times have changed.

I’m thinking she may have had a secret crush on the guy, he wasn’t interested, and she has been mental ever since. Sort of “if I can’t have him then nobody can”. That disorder sometimes leads to murder.
Maybe the money she got for this fraud and perjury is a “figment of her imagination” too?
