This has the up to second account of what's going on.

Thanks.
He doesn’t need Flake’s vote.
If FBI declines, then Flake ought to stick to the condition that he just introduced, that his vote to confirm turns on seeking a further one week FBI investigation. Unfortunately, he has probably been coached to argue that might necessitate a directive by Trump.
He most likely got the one week duration from the committee Dems so there is probably a crew somewhere putting together the Dem's Plan B.
There’s no confirmation it’s being delayed a week. There was no amendment in the motion to delay it a week. It’s in McConnell’s hands now.
Vote first thing next week and call fruity Flake’s bluff.
Think Flake is one the harassers that our tax dollars were used to pay off the victims?
I don’t think so. If FBI declines (again), the weak-kneed senators have their cover.
But only if Murkowski, Collins and other wavering Republicans stand with Kavanaugh ... knowing the Democrat/Left is prepared to stop at nothing — nothing! — to stop this nomination even though they’re not in charge of anything!!!
Not sure about any of the confirmed YES votes, now
Flake really screwed the country. His TDS made him sell his soul to the dark side.
I didn’t like hearing what I heard POTUS saying. That a delay is fine, if needed for an investigation, to make SenatorSSSS comfortable.
Wish Mitch and Cornyn were better “leaders” and had whipped enough votes.
Really disgusting display of ‘leadership’, here.
Dingy Harry would’ve had it done, way before now.
The interesting thing about this is that the FBI's avenue for investigation is very limited. Judge likely will refuse to speak to them, and they can't make him. The other witnesses identified by Ford as the only other people present have sword they don't remember anything. So all they can really do is interview Kavanaugh again -- which is pointless given his flat denial. Or Ford, and try to ask her about more of the odd details in her story.
Not sure where that gets anyone other than a delay, which is obviously part of the point. But Flake himself said it is limited to one week, so even that isn't much.
Countdown for next week has begun..
“Someone has something on Flake. Has to be.”
Maybe, but not necessarily. They may have threatened something like harm to his family or hurt his outside business interests, or see to it he gets a ‘sexual impropriety’ allegation all his own if he doesn’t give in.
I bet they find so much dirt on this gal, your head will spin.
“Exactly. Flake is a no unless they do an investigation.”
No- he voted yes. The condition he asked for has no legal standing. Grassley said there was a gentleman’s agreement that he would advocate Flakes “condition”. I assume that means that he would do so to McConnell. But no one on the committee has any power to force the “condition”. As long as McConnell says no then everything proceeds as normal.
That is my understanding.
The Democrats want a perjury trap.. They want Kavanaugh in jail if they can’t derail his nomination any other way
Then still vote. There will be more allegations, count on it. How dumb can can anyone be. Vote. Up or down.
Democrats must’ve offered him McCain’s cut if he flipped to extend it a week, so they can start extorting all the other congressmen.
Same for the FBI investigation.
The way I see it, if Kavanaugh becomes the SC Judge, then Democrats lack any control on Trump going forward on the 50000+ sealed indictments to be tried by military tribunal. So the entire swamp is under the gun to pre-empt the vote. That would include FBI investigators.
What matters is whether Mac has 50 votes without Flake.
Sean Davis reporting that Flake is planning on pulling an Obama on the floor vote:

Then Flake votes “no” on Kavanaugh.
