The Senate Judiciary Committee hears testimony from Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh and Professor Christine Blasey Ford about her allegations that Judge Kavanaugh sexually assaulted her while the two were teenagers.

Doesn’t know if she let the Washington Post read her therapy notes directly. Spends life flying around the world surfing but claimed to be afraid to get on airplanes.

In her early testimony, she stated that while laying on her, Bret held his hand over her mouth and that was the thing that traumatized her the most. It was only later she made it about sexual assault.
Funny you should mention that. My mother-in-law was a born and bred New Yorker - Brooklyn to be exact. Although college educated and a proper woman, she did apparently sounded a bit like the wife in the sitcom “King Of Queens”.
Back in the 50’s, she met her future husband (a Kansan) when he was in NY on business. They married and the husband later encouraged her (but did not force) her to take classes where she could tone down her NY accent. She did.
In later years, we’d stop over at the house and all was well ‘til she got on the phone with her sisters in NY and then BOOM! - the NY accent came out again.

It is almost certain that for the last few weeks she has been practicing the answers the DEM’s intend to ask her.
No... I see EXACTLY where this line of questioning is going.
They are establishing that certain information wasn’t public knowledge until such-and-such a date.
They have also established that she doesn’t know how she got home.
What they will provide is information from ANOTHER individual who could not have known his details because certain information did NOT become public knowledge until later.
Moreover, it is clear that this person is the person who drove her home. They asked questions about the amount of alcohol and drugs she had taken because that person will also say that she was fully inebriated and more.
The setup is clear to her lawyers, too. Anyone with a legal mind sees what is happening.
I wonder if every place where she is recorded in a YouTube was scrubbed by her friends at google. It would be so Interesting to contrast her voice giving a presentation to an audience of professionals or teaching a college class with this creaky voice.
It’s possible Mitch had 50 votes locked-up going into this thing and they are just going through with the show and not beating her up too badly.

Consider for a second that Kavanaugh is currently one of the top justices in the United States in his current position. Compare that gravitas, with the character references and exemplary life, to the circus this has become and there is NOTHING in the testimony today that justifies a no vote. Period.

So far I’m VERY disappointed with the prosecutor speaking for the GOP senators.
At this point I would say it was a big mistake to have this prosecutor do all the questioning and talking instead of the senators. Lindsey Graham could have carved her up in less than five minutes.
