Trump slams Avenatti over new Kavanaugh accusations: 'He is just looking for attention'

President Donald Trump slammed Michael Avenatti in a post on Twitter Wednesday after a third woman, who Avenatti represents, came forward with sexual misconduct allegations against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.
"Avenatti is a third rate lawyer who is good at making false accusations, like he did on me and like he is now doing on Judge Brett Kavanaugh," Trump wrote. "He is just looking for attention and doesn't want people to look at his past record and relationships - a total low-life!"
Kavanaugh has flatly denied all the allegations against him.

Can’t wait to say Justice Brett Kavanaugh. Because he will be confirmed. I trust Trump, and I also trust McConnell and Grassley in this context. Everything will be fine, folks. A media blackout would be a good idea. This fascist-style attack will help no one but the media, whether that be MSDNC or Fox. I’m not watching any of them.

There's something about Trump's response here that has me laughing my ass off. It's almost bizarre, actually.
The latest allegations against Kavanaugh are the most serious by far, but Trump's response sounds so damned dismissive it's like something he'd say about "Sleepy Eyes" Chuck Todd or "Fake News" CNN.
